Snareweight CUTS

I’m a fan of snareweight products. I have the leather M1 dampener and it’s amazing! The “Cuts” models have a 5mil and 7mil dampener and I find the 5mil to be quite useless. It’s way too thin and flimsy and has a slight annoying sound when it rebounds off my rack tom. I don’t have a problem with the 7mil cut out. I wish they just provided two 7mil dampeners or maybe even a 10 mil one.

I am a long time pro drummer and have used many different muffling devices over the years (Other clips on Mutes, Moon gel, etc.). Although I've purchased and successfully used the leather Snareweight product, these plastic ones do not work very well. They buzz on the head and bend very easily. I do not recommend these.

As always, another snare weight product that does NOT disappoint. When ordering I didn't even really know what the CUTS product was, I just saw that it was new, was a snare weight product, and less than $15. This automatically meant it was getting ordered. This is a really interesting idea. I've got the 5 mil on my rack tom and the 7 mil on my floor tom. These are great when you are just trying to edge off just the smallest amount from your tone for a little bit more control. You can leave them on all the time even when packing up and transporting. I've barely noticed them on my times save for the clip on the rim. Because SW products never stick to the drum, there is never any amount of choke on the muffling. It's incredible. Buy this!

It does a great job of removing too much ring but not all depending on how you adjust it (better than the rings that simply lay on the snare). One star off because after playing for several hours the clamps start to work their way off of my Starphonic rims. These rims have a slightly different shape than the usual die cast rims, so maybe that's it. I'll continue to use it because of how adjustable and effective it is.

Snare weight cuts, are different from the other drum dampeners, I like the feel on the toms to stop a lot of the ringing and over tones, for band practice, and for demo recording, also the m80 is beautiful for various snare drum feels, from wide open to a punchy snare tone, thank you for making great products, Curtis

This is an awesome product! I have been using the Snareweight M1 on my snare for about 6 months; the new Snareweight "cuts" allow me to obtain the same tone control on my toms. No more gooey gels and tone rings that blow off at outdoor gigs.

Another great new product from Snareweight! If you are looking for alternatives to the M1 and M80 dampeners, look no further. Like the previously mentioned dampeners these are versatile and portable. Plus it's animal friendly...
