Crimps well, good value
Great tool. Been using for months during the conversion of camper van. Fits everything I've thrown at it easily and hasn't caused any issues. Easy tomuse and durable. Crimps accurately all sizes and types. Great value

Easy to use - just the job!
I luuuuve this!I bought it to attach battery connections to heavy-duty wire on the car and caravan. Before this, i was using pliers and other things to crimp, but no luck. This has several settings for different sized cable and is easy to use. The leaver action and long arms mean not too much force is required to close the crimper (shoulder injury means I have little strength to do this), but i found it ok and easy to use.It makes easy work of something I was struggling with

Tool good, supplied crimps junk
The tool itself is decent. I was having some difficulties with the crimps falling off initially, but this turned out to be caused by the supplied ones being absolute junk. See pic for comparison between these (left) and some others I bought, so thin. I would advise to toss them out and buy the sourcing map ones from amazon instead.

Works great
I bought the combination of cutter and crimping tool.I'm not embarrassed to share my very first attempt to crimp. I tried based on the tips I found on the website "marinehowto" and "making your own battery cables". Based on that advice, I'd identify the 50mm^2 tinned copper tube lug as closer to the "flared starter lug" design than the "heavy duty power lug" - although I think these are all quite manufacturer specific. As expected I got four rounded corners and two sharp corners - which were not too shabby looking. I made the crimp with surprisingly little force. You can see I did not accurately line up the second crimp. I also thought I had the insulation right up against the jacket, but there is also a gap there. With more practice, I think I'll be making nice cables. With this set, making my own cables is not going to break the bank. The cutter is also excellent quality - I had no trouble using it to shear the 50mm^2 stranded cable (with 0.4mm diameter strands) or to safely cut away the cable insulation without damaging any copper.Would recommend this set to any beginner in a heartbeat.

Tool okay, crimps not so.
It’s not the best on the market, but for the price it does a decent job.The tool itself is easy to adjust, but the dies don’t line up exactly as there is a little bit of play. So before compressing watch out for this and adjust accordingly. As for the crimps, worth investing in better quality. Would only use these to get me out of a hole.

Great tools to have in the tool bag for any professional electrician.
Although it may look flimsy and may not be as much in money, this "too good to be true" item really is just that. It works perfectly with different ranges of lugs and the cable cutters, once you add some wd40 it cuts through butter. Great tools to have in the tool bag for any professional electrician.
