Good all around corded drill
Had this drill for just over a year now, bought it to help me with house renovation and it’s getting the job done without a single problem, on few occasions I’ve even put in attachments from my cheap SDS (the chuck is strong enough to hold them without a problem). It’s done brilliantly coring through brick and stone. Drilling any holes with it is a pleasure, no matter if it’s brick or steel. Yes, it is a bit heavier than standard corded drills, but the chuck is a bit bigger as well, which to me is an advantage. Well made solid piece of equipment! Once I’m done with the house it’ll be a nice addition to my workshop

To soft and garbage quality
I had this drill for 17 months and cored 30 holes max, I stupidly didn't register for extended warranty so that's all I got, 30 holes, dont buy this drill as its garbage and warranty is poor

Really impreseed
After using Hilti and eibenstock for coring holes for work, I wasn’t holding out much hope that this would be any good, I was wrong, For the money it is brilliant

Good powerful drill
This is some great kit I already have drills but was finding it hard to drill in a fireplace due to being extra hard from the heat so I gave this a try and was amazed it really was easy and would recommend to anyone even tho I use makita brands

Great when it works. Design or manufacturing quality issue.?
When working it’s great, but does heat up very quickly, so best to give it time to cool down, before going back to coring. Common sense. The clutch is a wrist saver, can kick in a little bit too soon, but better than having broken wrists. Just need to make sure you keep core nice and straight, let core do the work (don’t push on drill like you would do with a hammer/impact drill), otherwise you risk core binding and hence clutch kicking in. Easier said than done with combined weight of drill and core. Have only used to drill approx 10 cores from 28mm to 110mm over period of 5 years, before warning light kicked in and no longer worked - this was during drilling a 28mm core into breeze block. Now outside warranty period. Hopefully it would be something simple to fix i.e. loose cable, worn brushes, etc.. Stripped tool down, no obvious loose cables, brushes had loads of life still left in them, but rotor wouldn’t turn, after struggling to get rotor out, all became clear. Turns out, part of stator winding had got caught up in rotor, suspect through heat & vibration it had worked its way loose and inevitable got tangled around rotor, stopping my it from turning. Way beyond my skill set to repair, so to the bin it goes. Expect a lot better from DeWalt. This is the 2nd drill product from DeWalt that has pack in, which has had very little action. The other being their 18V SDS brushless drill, just outside of warranty. :( Maybe my expectations are too high…but buying a ‘reputable’ brand, then would be expect it to be better designed/manufactured and built to last longer than it did. Am I being unreasonable? Hopefully you’ll have better luck than I did.

Annoyed that I'm so pleased!!
I'd love to be able to criticise this, just because I'm usually Makita only. But I can't, it's well put together, geared well and improved cutting times significantly. Even through wet bricks. And at £130 less than Screwfix sells it for, a real bargain! Still a little pissed it's not blue though lol 😂

Great fore cores
A really high quality drill that I bought at the same time as a batch of core drills. Drilled my first core effortlessly. I only have it 4 stars as I went to drill some hard material today with an 8mm masonry bit and there wasn't much of a hammer action and I could have still done with my STS monster drill instead. However, I bought it to use with cores and it does this well.

Avoid
Rubbish! Don't let it fool you. Get a milwaukee and thank me later will do 3 hole in the time this will do one without snapping your wrist. And over heating.
