Short story: The scotch and soda portion of this combo had a rattle and would not hold up to scrutiny (this trick leaves you fairly "clean" for inspection). I reached out to support, and they quickly had me sorted out for a replacement.I was very impressed at how quickly they responded, how easy they were to deal with, and appreciate the quality they want to achieve.I had bought a svengali deck from this group earlier along with the trick "two coppers, one silver". Both were really good, and I think this might be a group worth sticking with for future purchases.

When I saw this listing, I chuckled b/c it looks so goofy.But I was intrigued.We have had a "trick" card deck before, but it had lost some of its cards.And I wasn't sure what the coin trick really was.So I ordered it.I tried the coin trick on my whole family (wife and 4 sons) and the smiles and huge eyes told me it is a good trick.No one could guess how it was done.On a subsequent attempt, I screwed up and didn't get the two pieces of the trick coin pressed tightly enough together. Therefore they fell apart when my son opened his hand.So now they know how it works, but they still think it's cool!Here's what you get.1. Trick card deckThis appears to be a standard deck of cards. However, twenty-six of the cards have been removed and replaced with twenty-six of one particular card. These twenty-six identical cards have all been trimmed about a 32nd of an inch shorter than the rest of the deck (apparently this is called a Svengali deck).You start by sorting the deck so that every second card is a short card.This lets you perform a number of different tricks.It works great.2. Trick coin setThis set comprises a normal Mexico centavo and two specially modified coins:1) a US half-dollar that has been machined so it is essentially hollow; the obverse looks normal2) a Mexico centavo that has been machined and fused to the reverse side of a US half-dollarThe centavo/half-dollar piece fits perfectly inside the hollow half-dollar so that when the centavo side is facing inward, it looks like a completely normal half-dollar.It is really well done!The two parts fit together so well, you need a special plastic ring (included) to separate them.You can read how to do the trick in the instruction, so I won't explain it.Believe me, if you do it well, your audience will be amazed!My advice is to hide the normal centavo under your watch beforehand, instead of in your pocket.This will leave the other people wondering whether you slipped the coin under your watch without them seeing it b/c maybe, just maybe, you are actually that good.But they'll know for sure your hand never went down to your pocket.Overall, great little set and small enough you can take it to parties or family gatherings and such.You'll get a lot of smiles and wait-how'd-you-do-that reactions!

Basically buy this for the Svengali card deck as the coin trick items broke after a couple of uses and were hard to use for a foolproof magic trick.

This standard trick is a must for every beginner's repertoire. The trick is well made and looks good, Although the instructions are very vague there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube so watch them and learn.Like any trick this one takes a little practise to get it right. Try doing it in front of a mirror until it looks natural.The Svengali Deck puts this package over the top. This deck is one of several decks that makes for easy card tricks without the need for elaborate sleight of hand. Basically a self working trick once you learn a couple of basic moves. Once again go to YouTube for some fantastic tutorials on how to use this deck. Then check out an Invisible Deck and a Stripper Deck to add to your kit.
