This is great. My daughter is 4 and has taken a keen intrest in science. This keeps things nice and simple for her yet allows her to strech her mind. The language is simple yet its not dumbed dow. Very good book!

Great
We use this a lot, it has been a big hit as a reference book, one a child can browse through themselves as well as with an adult. Would recommend.

Fantastic first introduction to scientific concepts
Bought as a present for my nephew. The book was clearly laid out in simple but challenging enough language for KS1 children.

From a Homeschooling mom
This is an amazing book!! Thick cover, thick pages. A little about everything in here!! An amazing tool to use in addition to my lessons. Doing a lesson on plants? There's a section for that. Doing a lesson about space? Yup, that too. Animals, man made tools, life cycle...etc. Think of it as a sort of text book. No activities are in this book. It's just a book that describes a topic on about a page or so. I read with my 6 year old during science lessons to help explain a topic. This is on top of any experiments, discussions, or other picture books I have too. It's great in conjunction with those.

Wonderful
We use this almost daily as a jumping point for science (kinder-second). It is very interesting with a well organized layout, it is a great reference book also. The pictures are colorful and pretty. It explains things very nicely in a way that children can grasp. When I first held it in my hands, I was disappointed because it seemed small. I was very pleased when I looked through the book, it is packed with information
