Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Highly recommend - Lovely little prayer book. Beautifully wtapped. Good price Review: Well made, and up to date (when I bought it in November 2024) - This is the Church of England's Book of Common Prayer, which is I presume much the same as when Archbishop Cranmer sat down with his clergy over 450 years ago to write it. The current book is well printed and bound, with this edition being contained in a pleasing red cover rather than (in my experience) the conventional black. The main text that changes over the years is the Prayer for the Royal Family, in this edition on pages 14 and 25 (and possibly hiding elsewhere too). Until I reached my late 30s this prayer never changed, but then the sad deaths of Diana and then the Queen Mother altered the wording. Since then there have been several changes, and the 6 May 2023 coronation is reflected in this book with the inclusion of Queen Camilla - see photo. The other text that changes mainly is the Table of Moveable Feasts at the beginning of the book, spread over 3 pages covering 1999 to 2105 (which may, depending on your expectations, be of more relevance to your descendants than to you). If by chance you are less than fully absorbed in listening to a lengthy sermon, you can always look at page lvii for the Table to Find Easter Day, where you can practise dividing by 19 to find the Golden Number for the year you first thought of. If that doesn't push you back into engaging with the service, then may God help you. 5 stars.

This Book is Gold (not a prayer book)
This book is gold. It's basically how to run Anglican church services! I love it. There's loads to do each day in there. The font is small (which could be bad for people with bad eyesight, but if you can cope with small text then it's a great book to have around. If you struggle with your eyesight then I would go for a bigger one, but I love it.

Loved as the "real" prayer book
Good service from seller, this is the prayer book in common use before the Alternative Service Book came out. It's the one I grew up with, beautiful words.

King Charles III in it
Very pleased with this little book, exactly what I thought it would be. Excellent value, very nice.

Naprawdę bardzo ciekawa książka do nabożeństwa kościoła anglikańskiego.

Ótima aliança entre tamanho de bolso e tamanho da fonte. Ótimo pra acompanhar Evening prayers cantadas no YouTube.

I bought this Prayer book for my mother in law and she is very happy with it. The print is quite small so my only advice would be make sure you don't have problems with your vision before buying it.

This thing is SMALL, the text is fine to read and, if you're looking for a back pocket prayer book, this is ideal. However, almost no church uses the 1662 BCP today, so this text should be purchased for personal, family, specialized devotions, for historical purposes or as an interesting read. Not as a walk to church BCP. Back to the size, problem with a pocket leather book is that it is going to want to close. Therefore, even on a table, this is a two handed book. I really recommend the enlarged edition, its hand sized, it can be read with one hand or on a table. Personally, I use the BCP for nightly prayer and the enlarged is perfect for flipping to the right page and leaving it there. Both have excellent French Morocco leather, neither are floppy books and the leather will require work in, but its durable and should last a lifetime.
