So here’s my honest review when I first purchased it the price went up $20 while it was in my cart! After an hour in the phone with Amazon they adjusted the price. The strap is very wide and a bit cumbersome. I may also add that it does not extend to 54 inches. It’sCloser to 52 1/2 inches. It’s also a chore to attach to the guitar. I really wanted to be thrilled with this expensive strap but I’d said it’s ok at best.

I found this strap to be lumpy and uneven. It was hard to fit on guitar tabs without making strap holes bigger.. Holes in the strap are way too small for my Martin D42. It would make a great baseball glove however... :)

I got a Martin DSR accoustic for Christmas and bought this strap to go with it. I looked at the cheaper straps in the store and figured that it was worth the investment to get a Martin strap to go with the guitar. Very happy with this strap. Soft leather. Easy to get on and off the guitar. No complaints whatsoever...

I have one of these straps on my Martin OM-42 and also on my Taylor 912 E. Most comfortable strap I’ve ever used.

This strap was purchased for my new Sweetwater HD-28 and it's almost as nice as the guitar, not really but a very good strap that will last a very long time and look good doing it. You want be unhappy.

I am very impressed with the overall quality of this strap. It is heavy and large, and about 1/4" thick, and that leather smell you can never forget. The inside is very supple black grained leather like you see on nice couches, and outside is a premium smooth leather. I'm very pleased with the strap itself, and do feel it is worthy of my circa 1973 D35.What I'm not happy about, and the reason I marked this review down from a five has nothing to do with Martin (unless it's shipped from them this way), is the condition the product was received in. As you can see in the photos, the leather is badly marked up. It doesn't seem to have been used, but it doesn't look brand new to me either. The worst is what looks like a two inch slice at one end. The rest are various nicks and cuts, and one blemish that looks like it was repaired. I'm extremely disappointed with the seller for sending something this expensive and will not likely buy anything from there again.So if you want a really nice, heavy duty leather strap that will last you a life time and beyond, I highly recommend the strap itself. What I would take care on is who buy from. Sadly, you won't really know until you receive it (which is the reason I keep coming back to Amazon) so check it very carefully.
