Good phone for what it is
It's a great phone for savvy people who know how to tinker with Android not an older individual because of it's clunky ui. I like the fact that you can put apks on this one. I put a j2me emulator to play Java games for the nostalgia in the retro era of Java games in its original format ✌️. Update: if you lose service on it (tunnel or train) and go back outside the phone won't auto connect back.... As a matter of fact you will see that its persistent even though reboots so the only way is to provision the Sim on another phone (its annoying) I emailed Blu to see if this isn't a feature but a bug

Could not re-connect Network
I bought 2 phones for my kids, specifically for the whatsapp function. Received blue phone first and setting it up with hipcus for the whatsapp as couldn’t scroll down for agree button. Tips: just hold middle button and up at the same time and page will move up. Connection to Network was fine until the next day. Received the green phone and while setting it up, lost the connection and same as the blue phone. Try rebooting it several times and had no luck, I even contacted the Network. I used SpeedTalk, they worked fine with my kids calling watch in my area. Re-tried the next day by putting the SIM in calling watch and switched it back to phones, worked for one phone but connection lost again less than one hour. Both the phones couldn’t re-connect again. Apologize for long story, just be aware of this issue if you are getting this phone. Otherwise we like it, the looks, the light weight, and challenging input and usage as that will discourage my kids playing the phone. I am returning them, the manufacturer really need to looked into this issue as you just lost a customer.

Button response slow, extremely simple phone with basic amenities, and whatsapp works.
Heres my simple breakdown after few weeks of use...1) Definitely not the strongest flip phone out there, slow response time after pressing button, a bit heard to use internet and apps with arrow keys(but honestly, thats a given with a flip phone, and lastly the whats app. Took me quit a bit to register my account. weirdly, I the issue was that I couldnt scroll down to press the "agree" button to terms of use. Im still not really sure what did it in the end, either re-opening the app non-stop until the screen was smaller or i even tried to minimize the image text on display settings. Whatsapp is pretty hard to use, you have to use it with a mouse as if your browsing the internet. I try to stay away from using it on the actual phone and opted to link it to my PC. I used the phone to do a video call with whatsapp and although it worked the phone got extremely hot, which was actually a bit concerning. So if youre looking for a flip phone with basic up-to-date functions, this isnt so bad for $70, However, not sure how long it'll last me.

Flip Phone That Runs Android
I am a 20 y/o Junior CompSci Major currently. I have always wanted to get away from my smartphone, without losing access to the essentials. This phone is the perfect bridge: it's a flip phone which runs Android (thus giving you WhatsApp and WiFi access). Currently living my happiest life not checking my phone every 10 mins, and also just throwing off that cool 2000s flip phone vibes wherever I go, while staying connected just enough for it to not turn into me doomscrolling Twitter. Perfect device, tbh. Sturdy, smooth UI, great battery life, everything is amazing about it. Main drawback is T9 texting for the ones who're not so used to it, but after a couple of days that seems no problem here (learn to use predictive texting).

Complicated to use
This phone is too complicated to use and frustrating. More complicated than a smart phone. I got it for my mom who still uses flip phones. She can't figure out how to do certain things on the phone and then I look at it, and I can't figure out how to do things. Not good as a simple phone for older people. This might be the phone that gets her to get a smart phone.

overly complicated OS
If you are looking for an easy to use operating system - this phone is NOT it. OS is fabulously complicated. the phone works fine but I don't understand the engineering design of the operating system. Far more complex than any other phone I have ever used. By comparison, iPhone or google Pixel are simple. Blu may be a flip phone but does not act as such. You have been warned.

Not a discontinued major carrier phone
Does not have a carrier's name stamped on the front or logo in the apps. It is factory unlocked, not unlocked by a seller selling discontinued leftover carrier phones, which is why I am very pleased with this BLU phone. REVISED: Would not work in Spain with a international sim card. Had to buy a new phone in Spain.

Returned after the first hour
Phone does not work with most providers. This phone is not compatible with all cellular services. Overall it’s an okay phone, athough it does not support Google Play services, so don’t bother downloading any sort of google related apk files onto it. Phone felt a little big in the hand but something you can get use to. Bland GUI and not great options for symbols or other “special characters”. Typing long passwords are a nightmare. Where normally “111” would be “C” on this phone “1 >>>” is “C” having to use the keypad to choose what letter/number you want after pressing the key. No fingerprint scanner, not sure why amazon is saying that’s apart of the phone. Your better off buying a phone with more versatility where you download whatever you want onto it, instead of being limited by hardware not supporting apps. Phone is okay, just not for me.
