I don't care so much about the environmental aspects of these sponges but rather about the fact that they don't scratch metal. They are truly scratch-free.The other brown "natural" ones on Amazon are made differently and those will scratch metal. These will not. These don't last super long time because they're made out of wood fiber but that is the downside to having a sponge that doesn't scratch.

I wanted to get this to be more biodegradable which did not work out because the one side would fall apart 2 days after you use it I like the white side it keeps clean so well even wahing tomato paste

The sponge does a great job removing stains and other gunk stuck to your dishes. I personally love that it is entirely eco-friendly and I'm not flushing microplastics and metals down my drains or scrubbing them deep into my dishes! The sponge is also quite fibrous and very absorbent.
