Recorded live over five nights in August 1988 at the Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, NY, 'Delicate Sound of Thunder' became infamous for being the first rock album to be played in outer space. Review: It’s simply fantastic for a concert filmed over 30 years ago! - Ok so this was in the later years box set, and some will call out with some justification that this looks like profiteering from the same content. That said, the later years box set is supplied with poor quality sleeves and this at least turns up looking something like a blu ray release should do. And the transfer is glorious. Plenty of work has gone into selecting different camera angles and footage not seen on the original VHS and laserdisc release. I owned both and it beggars belief how much better this is than the original big silver disc version. It also sounds great - and whilst its not cheap, this is at least a quality product with plenty of effort made to do justice to an excellent release. My only complaint is that I imagine there is other footage from the missing tracks found on the newly expanded CD release. In particular, welcome to the machine sounds fresh on the updated CD and that would have been nice to see on the dvd. But overall, owning the updated music and film content is a must for fans of this era of pink floyd. Review: Superb re-release sounding better and with bonus tracks. What's not to like :-)) - Great re-release of the classic Pink Floyd live album with a new mix (involving David Gilmour himself) and extra tracks make this an essential purchase. Maybe :-))) Just a note of caution: I Pre-Ordered this items a while ago and got the Pre-Release Guarantee that I would pay the lowest price between the date of my order and the date of release. I paid over £17 on the Friday only to find it reduced by over £4 the next day!!! Customer Care understood my frustration but could only offer me a full, refund if I returned it...
