I recently went on a flight and brought along the portable iPhone holder designed to clip onto an airplane tray table—and it turned out to be one of the most useful travel accessories I’ve ever packed. First, the fit on the tray table was perfect. The clamp gripped securely without slipping. It felt stable the entire time, which gave me confidence that my phone wasn’t going to fall or slide off mid-movie. The adjustability is a standout feature. The holder rotates and tilts smoothly, making it easy to find the ideal viewing angle. I was able to watch movies hands-free at eye level, which made the flight much more comfortable compared to constantly holding my phone or looking down. The MiiKare cellphone stand didn’t quite meet my needs. I purchased this product to hold a cell phone horizontally (landscape mode) for Zoom meetings where an additional camera angle is needed. I don’t want to setup a webcam, and I don’t want to give up a bunch of table space with another laptop just to use its camera. The clamp works great on the edge of our office table. It’s easy to carry around, and looks great when it’s closed up. The issue I have is with its adjustability. Yes, it’s true that some of its adjustments are indeed a full 360 degrees. It’s also true that ALL the adjustments snap (or click) into predetermined angles. The clamp that holds your cell phone rotates, or clicks, every 18 degrees (no issue). The section that pans side-to-side also rotates every 18 degrees (again, no issue). My specific issue comes from the tilt function adjustment- it’s every 22.5 degrees. That’s fine for watching videos, but I’m mainly using this setup to utilize the cellphones camera to face clients. The 22.5 degree adjustment means the angle is either to high (see the top of their head and the ceiling), or too low (only see from the chin down). If I move the camera further away, I lose clients facial expressions and body language. If I move it closer, then it only captures 1 person (sorry spouse/partner, guess you’re not important enough to be a part of this meeting). After trying various angles and positions, it is just not going to work for my specific use. Having said that, I’ll put it in the junk drawer for now as I’m sure the kids or grandkids will get some use out of it. If you use this to hold your cellphone to watch videos, it’ll work fine. If you need it to hold your cellphone at a very specific angle, pass on this one.

Solid product and works great on flights. The grip is strong, so it won't come off due to shaking or vibration etc. Also conveniently easy to keep in the small pocket your personal item. Overall, it is functional and I am happy with it.

If your family travels frequently or moves often, you absolutely need this phone mount. As a military family, we recently used it inside a U-Haul truck during a PCS move, and it was a total lifesaver. Finding a good spot for navigation in big moving trucks can be a challenge, but this clamped perfectly and kept our phone secure the entire trip. Beyond moving, we love to travel, and this has become a permanent staple in our bags. I like the universal clamping action to fit any phone or standard phone case and attach the mount to any horizontal or vertical flat surface. The spring action is rather stiff, but that is key to providing a reliable clamp. For travel, it folds neatly into a 1.5x1.5x4" space. I also like the rotational functions, to allow your choice of screen orientations whether the host surface is horizontal or vertical or something in between. Note that the phone clamp only opens enough to clamp the phone by its sides, but the clamp rotates sufficiently to nonetheless display the phone vertically--including when it is simply balanced as a stand, or clamped to another surface.

Sturdy and does what it promises! I've already used it in a couple of flights. The grip is strong, so it won't come off due to shaking or vibration etc. This also means that it takes a bit of effort to open it up and attach to the tray-table etc. Easy to keep in the small pocket in the backpack. Overall, it is functional and I am happy with it.

Die MiiKARE Handyhalterung für Flugzeuge hat sich auf meinem letzten Flug als echt nützlich erwiesen. Gerade bei längeren Strecken ist es angenehm, das Handy einfach fixieren zu können, statt es die ganze Zeit in der Hand zu halten. Die Befestigung klappt problemlos am Klapptisch, und das Handy sitzt stabil. Besonders praktisch ist, dass sich der Winkel flexibel einstellen lässt, so findet man schnell eine bequeme Position zum Filme schauen oder Lesen. Auch vom Format her passt das Teil locker ins Handgepäck, ohne groß Platz wegzunehmen. Verarbeitung macht einen soliden Eindruck, nichts wirkt wackelig. Insgesamt eine einfache, aber durchdachte Lösung, die den Flug deutlich angenehmer machen kann.

Die Handyhalterung wirkt beim Auspacken solide und macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Die Anleitung ist minimalistisch aber ausreichend, da das Produkt quasi selbsterklärend ist. Im geschlossenen Zustand ist die Halterung relativ kompakt und passt beispielsweise bequem in die Jackentasche. Beim Aufklappen des Halters fällt auf, dass man viele Freiheitsgrade hat, um die Gelenke zu drehen und einzustellen. Dabei rasten die Gelenke an vorgegebenen Stellen und Winkeln ein. Die Abstufung der Winkel ist fein genug, um vielfältige Position zuzulassen. Gleichzeitig sorgt das Einrasten vor allem für Stabilität und einmal eingestellt bleibt der Halte in der gewählten Position. Selbst bei ausführlichem Tippen auf dem Touchscreen des Handys klappt die Halterung nicht weg oder ändert ihre Neigung. Die Halterung ist darauf ausgelegt, an Tischen oder Kanten festgemacht zu werden. Über eine Klammer mit Spannfeder lässt sich die Halterung an Tischplatten festklemmen. Dazu lässt sich die Klammer problemlos bis ca. 2cm öffnen. Laut Anleitung sollte die Halterung auch an Tischplatten mit bis zu 4 cm Dicke passen. Um dies zu erreichen muss man allerdings ordentlich Kraft aufbringen, um die Klammer so weit zu öffnen. Andererseits sorgt die kräftige Feder aber auch dafür, dass die Halterung stabil an der Tischkante sitzt. Die Halterung ist passend für aktuelle Smartphones. Getestet habe ich die Halterung mit einem iPhone XR, einem Pixel 6a und einem Samsung S8, jeweils mit und ohne Schutzhülle an den Geräten. Die Smartphones ließen sich gut montieren und saßen stabil in der Halterung. Nach etwa 4 Wochen in Benutzung haben sich keine gravierenden Schwachpunkte gezeigt und das Produkt liefert ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
