The chair arrived in terrible condition with traces of mold and dirt.

Pricey, but wonderful. Everyone who visits my office wants one after sitting in it.

The product description indicates that the product is new, which I don't believe is true. Rust on the wheels, a loose wheel that rattles when I move the chair, scratches on the body, and a hole on the body. And the chair smells bad. Clearly not new. I feel totally ripped off. It was so expensive. I could not be more unhappy with my purchase.

I had an Aeron chair before. They are excellent!! In this case, the chair I received was obviously used and probably returned. A brand new Aeron chair does not come with casters assembled. Additionally, the two levers that control the tilt of the seat and of the back did not work (one was stuck in place, the other moved but didn’t do anything), even after releasing the knob in the right side of the chair. The axle that connects the knob to the inside of the mechanism was covered with old dirt. The chair also came with no assembly instructions and the hex wrench was just thrown on the bottom of the box. Used chair! Amazon offered a 50% discount to keep it. I declined. Why would I want a cheap chair that doesn’t work? That’s why I bought an Aeron! They also said I needed to make the pick up arrangements with UPS. I declined. Beware of the seller!

My dad has used an Aeron chair daily for 18 years. The fact that he had used this chair for so long was a big influence on my purchase decision. I had been using what I thought was a fairly decent office chair for about 3 years before purchasing this one to replace it. Initially I was skeptical about purchasing a refurbished chair, but having had firsthand experience with the quality of Herman Miller chairs I decided to make the purchase. I am very pleased with this chair. The build quality is excellent, and I can't tell that it's been used or refurbished. It was very easy to assemble, four bolts to affix the back to the base (and the correct size hex key is included). The adjustments are fairly intuitive and I was quickly able to mold the chair into a comfortable seating position that adequately supports my lower back. The mesh material used for the seat and back is comfortable and durable. It's especially nice in hot weather: no more sweating or sticking to leather cushions.

The front seat tilt will not stay in place so the front edge hurts the back of my thighs, as it tilts up slightly. The seat is way too firm and hurts my butt. The lumbar support is not like what’s on the photos or any picture of the Aeron Classic chair. Unfortunately the returns aren’t handled by Amazon, so I am the whim of Chairorama if I can even return this uncomfortable and expensive chair.
