A good workhorse
I have the GBC Ultima 35 Laminator with over a year now and wouldn't be without it. I have a small home-based business designing and printing memoriam cards and on average I would laminate 500 items a week with this machine. I've had great results from both the 42.5 micron and the 75 micron laminating rolls. The thickness of the laminate on the rolls is thinner than the laminate in the pouches, even at the equivalent microns. The results from the roll laminator is more 'pliable' and doesn't really add firmness to the document, therefore you might need thicker paper or card. It does give a lovely professional-looking coating and you can cut to the edge of the document without leaving a 'seal', as the laminate adheres to the item. At least thats whats supposed to happen, but I find with thicker paper/card over 120gsm, it doesn't adhere properly at all. I overcome this by putting these thicker items, thru a normal hot laminator (the kind you use for pouches) after they've come out of the roll laminator. Ok, this is doubling up on the work, but its worth it for the lovely results I achieve, and so that I can be sure that the stuff isn't going to de-laminate at some point in the future. I can't afford one of the hugely expensive professional machines, nor would I have room for one, so the Ultima 35 fits the bill nicely for me. I buy the rolls here on Amazon at quite a reasonable price and they last a long time, covering hundreds of items before running out. Would I buy the Ultima 35 again? Definitely! It's quite cheap to buy, economical to run and so easy to use.

This is a Superior Product
I have used this product in my consulting business for 10 years. It has been reliable and produced a quality product during that time. I recommend it highly.

Machine uses too much lamination
When using this device it uses too much lamination and does not cut as well as the video, also the completed product did not laminate the right side of the paper to about 3 inches from the right side. I also called GBC for warranty work and they said the serial number does not match their equipment id, so go back to the place where I purchased the item for information.
