Great microscope, best in its class.
Its a great microscope, I say best in in class because there are cheaper ones, normally intended for children or beginners but there are also much more expensive ones that cost thousands. This suited me perfectly because it was on offer at time of purchase, its simple enough for a beginner to use but advanced enough to be used by expert users, perfect for me to progress my hobby.

Better than expected
I was so impressed,, a very high quality precision instrument much better than I expected for the price tag. Couldn’t be more pleased with this microscope.

Good quality
Arrived very quickly, as described. Lots of features. The only drawback is not having a top light and the flimsy plastic cover included with it. No instructions, but easy to work out how to use it and adjust it. Was on offer, so I am pleased with the quality.

Good value for money
It is my first microscope which I am very happy about. By writing this review I want to say thanks to the manufacturer for such affordable quality microscope. I was hoping to watch prokaryotic bacteria - and this microscope allows me to do so with a 100x oil immersion objective (immersion oil is included in the package). Most other eukaryotic life forms are much larger - so no problem observing them. 25x eyepieces much worse than 10x eyepieces - I think they are included solely for marketing purposes allowing to put a 2500x magnification label on it. 1000x magnification is what a light microscope can suggest due to light wavelength limitations. I believe the difference between this microscope and £1000 microscope would be negligible for a hobbyist like me. This microscope is compound which means parts like eyepiece and objective are interchangeable and can be bought separately from other manufacturers. Sometimes I wish to have a better resolution to see cell organelles more clearly. But when I checked how much apochromatic objective costs alone I lost any interest in it :D. I concluded that the tiny image difference doesn't worth so much money for hobby use. Microscope prices are exponential. I was choosing between "Swift SW350B" and "Bresser Microscope Biolux NV". "Swift SW350B" the same thing for a higher price. "Bresser Microscope Biolux NV" - looks more like a toy. By the way, glass slides and coverslips are not included, so don't forget to buy them as well.
