The Blob lamp is a faulty product for sure because this lava lamp by LAVA worked straight away (after a very reasonable warm-up time). Once it gets going, it's awesome to watch and my little kid absolutely loves it. We've had it on about 8 times for 6+ hours each time and the bulb is fine so far. **Q: Hi this lamp was damaged at the bottom what should i do ?**
A: Return it

**Q: I have own one of these 3 days and have noticed something sticking up in the liquid, looks like a spring or element, is this normal?**
A: Yes, the spring is there to break surface tension, to merge little blobs into larger, and also I think to transfer heat from glass to wax. Try quickly rotating it around "z" axis few times so it can return to bottom. Be careful not to shake it to much as you will end up with little drops and they take time to settle.

**Q: Why does it state it'll be dispatched in 1 to 2 months??**

We got this lava lamp to replace the rocket shaped lamp by Blob lava lamps—which refused to work. Good quality lamp. When it arrived the bulb was smashed but I had a spare in the cupboard that was the correct size anyway. It’s nice and relaxing to look at!
