FDA-cleared, non-invasive periodontal treatment combining hydrogen peroxide and xylitol to combat gum disease-causing bacteria below the gum line while promoting teeth whitening. Designed for adults, this paraben-free, unflavored softgel formula offers a dual-action approach that reaches areas brushing and flossing can’t, ensuring healthier gums and a brighter smile. ## Description Perfect for non-invasive periodontal tray therapy. PerioGelX with xylitol and hydrogen peroxide will help break down the cell walls of bacteria causing infections and oral wounds associated with gum diseases like gingivitis and periodontitis. Also promotes whiter teeth. Review: OK - This is OK but nothing special. Expensive but a tube will last forever assuming the ingredients don't deteriorate. I felt it did somewhat soothe my inflamed gum. Review: Not a Whitening Gel, Yes! A Real Periodontal Treatment That Works - If you're thinking about buying this product, it's important to understand what it's really for. PerioGelX isn't meant to be purchased and used on its own. It's designed to work with the custom Perio Protect trays you get from a dental office that offers that service. Those trays aren't cheap, mine cost close to $600 - but they're made using a laser device that precisely measures your gum line, so the gel can reach deep into your gum pockets where bacteria live. That's why I had to laugh at a few reviews where people complained that this $29 product didn't come with the $600 trays. The listing says "Shown to KILL BACTERIA in 10 MINUTES with comfortable Perio Tray delivery from PERIO PROTECT", which means you have to use the tray along with this. It doesn't mean the trays comes with it. This gel is primarily for periodontal disease (gum disease), not for teeth whitening - though the hydrogen peroxide in it does gently brighten your teeth as a side benefit. My results have been amazing. If you've ever had periodontal disease, you know how painful it is to go to the dentist every three months for deep cleanings (scaling). After using this product with my trays, my dentist was stunned. My gums looked dramatically healthier - lower pocket depths, no bleeding, and far less plaque. I also spent significantly less time in the dental chair than usual. You could technically buy cheap boil-and-bite trays online, but they won't compare to the precision of custom laser-fit trays. The accuracy makes all the difference because it ensures the gel reaches the deepest areas of your gums. The instructions from my dentist were simple: Apply a thin line of gel along the edge of each tooth compartment in the tray (like outlining the tooth tray). Wear the trays for 15 minutes twice a day for 30 days. After the first month, continue with one 10-minute session daily for maintenance. This product is a bit of an investment, but if you're serious about improving your gum health, it's 100% worth it! ## Features - Non-Invasive - Patented and FDA Cleared - Active Ingredients of Hydrogen Peroxide & Xylitol Combat Gum Disease - Delivers Effective Treatment Below the Gum Line - Reach Bacteria that Brushing & Flossing Can’t.Also Promotes Whiter Teeth ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0B3PHW2BC | | Active Ingredients | Hydrogen Peroxide | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Allergen Information | Gluten Free | | Best Sellers Rank | #285,659 in Health ( See Top 100 in Health ) #207 in Teeth Whitening Gels | | Brand | Perio Protect | | Brand Name | Perio Protect | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,172 Reviews | | Flavor | Unflavored | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00195893625864 | | Included Components | Teeth Whitening Strip | | Item Dimensions | 41 x 41 x 174 millimeters | | Item Form | Softgel | | Item Weight | 3 Ounces | | Item form | Softgel | | Manufacturer | Perio Protect | | Manufacturer Part Number | periogelx-b9b0f5e59d | | Material Features | Teeth Whitening | | Material Type Free | Paraben Free | | Material type free | Paraben Free | | Number of Items | 1 | | Product Benefits | Whitening | | Product benefits | Whitening | | Set Name | PerioGelX | | Unit Count | 3 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Active Ingredients:** Hydrogen Peroxide - **Brand:** Perio Protect - **Item form:** Softgel - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Product benefits:** Whitening ## Images ![PerioGelX | Periodontal Treatment for Teeth | Promotes Teeth Whitening (3 oz.) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/716wwoFGsLL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How do you apply this product?** A: I use this product with special perio trays that I my periodontist fitted in the office.
