Great cup of rich delicious hot coffee!!!
I recently purchased the Colette Bozeman stovetop percolator, and I couldnโt be happier with it. Itโs incredibly easy to use, even if youโre new to percolators, and it makes a rich, delicious cup of coffee every time. One of the things I appreciate most is that there are no aluminum or plastic parts, which gives me peace of mind about what Iโm brewing my coffee in. The quality feels solid and well-made. Cleanup is just as simple as brewingโeverything comes apart easily and rinses clean without any hassle. If youโre looking for a straightforward, reliable way to make great coffee on the stovetop, this percolator is definitely worth it. Regards, Nita

I Didn't Let My Induction Stovetop Stop Me!
I drink a lot of coffee. I make it every morning and drink several cups. Wanting to get away from plastic components in all drip coffee makers, I decided to see if I would like the dreaded percolator (which most coffee fanatics just hate with the passion.) I fondly remember that delicious, vintage perking sound in the morning from my parent's stovetop percolator and decided perhaps it's time for a comeback. I really dreaded having to figure out the right timing, the right amount of coffee, etc., since I never used one, but I bravely forged ahead. Guess what? It's not that difficult and the coffee is wonderful and very hot, unlike most drip makers. I drink my coffee black and hate weak tasting or bitter tasting or cold coffee. This percolator pleasantly surprised me. It's all metal and glass with a wood handle. I would like the lid to be a bit more substantial and stay closed so one doesn't have to hold it down while pouring, however, it does the job. I have an induction cooktop on my stove and didn't want to fuss with making sure the bottom would work, so I purchased an inexpensive electric burner. This setup works great and in a way, I turned my stovetop pot into an electric one. Added plus, I can make coffee anywhere in the house I'd like to. (BTW my Bosch Induction Stove didn't want to cooperate with this percolator.) Why didn't I just buy an electric percolator to begin with? I wanted more control over the heat and the timing since I am a bit picky about coffee taste. HINT #1: Buy yourself extra glass globes. Immediately. My pot fell on the floor the 2nd day I owned it in my haste to get my coffee grounds ready. Yes, I was excited to use it. Thankfully Amazon/Coletti sell them separately and they arrive quick! I bought 4 of them. HINT #2: It speeds things up A LOT if you boil your water in a tea kettle on your stove, especially if you have a boost mode on your induction stovetop. Either boil it or get it very hot & then pour into the percolator. The perking starts very quickly and you can get to your luscious coffee sooner. I haven't noticed any difference in taste doing it this way. I'm not going back to drip coffee anytime soon. I bought the 9 cup (5 cup in American speak) but I just might be buying a larger unit to have handy when my coffee-drinking friends/relatives come over.

Coffee pot handle
I like the simplicity of using a percolator. I was using a Pyrex glass percolator that I had acquired when I bought a property years ago. Not many exist anymore as they are almost entirely glass & date from the 1950-s to early 60's. It worked great & was mesmerizing to see it in action, as the glass allowed one to view the percolating action of the bubbles forming & going up through the glass percolating tube. Unfortunately one day I heard a loud "pop" as I was making coffee & discovered that the base of the percolating tube had shattered for some reason. I bought this model to replace it. It's very well made, despite being manufactured in China; wish it was made in America! One reviewer incorrectly stated that it's made in Montana. Yes, Bozeman & Butte are towns in Montana that Coletti named their models after; but it says right on the box that it's made in China. The entire coffee pot is stainless steel; other than the replaceable glass screw in top & the two wooden parts of the handle. The percolating tube, basket, etc. is stainless; unlike some other brands that are made of aluminum or plastic. I'm a welder & master craftsman & I have large hands. When I first got this, I felt that they should have made the handle larger, because unless I used the skills honed & perfected from playing the game "Operation" as a kid, my hand would touch the top or bottom parts of the metal handle. And the two wooden scales attached to the metal handle are even with the metal edges of the handle, rather than being larger & wider than the metal. "Why did they make the handle so thin, & the handle opening so small?" I would've made it with a larger opening, & thicker handle to make it easier & safer to grasp. So the first time that I used it, I picked it up with an oven mitt, but that made it even more difficult to get my hand on the handle properly. So the next time I lightly touched the handle, including metal parts of it, to "test" the temperature of it. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the entire handle portion of the coffee pot only gets warm; the wooden scales & the metal band of the handle do NOT get hot at all! So fear not; you can pick up the coffee pot without using an oven mitt or pot holder. Overall, it's decent quality & brews very well & quite fast; only takes a few minutes to brew perfect cups of coffee!

Good little coffee pot
Itโs a good little coffee pot. Seems well built and makes a good cup of coffee, although my experience is that it does take 20-30 minutes, so if time is of the essence this probably is not your ideal choice. I like this coffee pot for brewing at home or out camping, but I do have 2 minor gripes about it. First is that it is advertised as a 6 cup pot of coffee. However, if you follow the instructions which say not to fill past the pour spout holes, itโs really only a 4 cup pot. If you fill all the way to the 6 cup line it definitely goes past the holes and the water touches the bottom of the coffee basket which doesnโt really work. Second is that while the wood scales help to make the handle not way hot when you try to pour a cup, the brass pins holding the scales in place still get hot. I have been getting around this by wrapping a bandana around the handle before brewing.

Worth the purchase!
This percolator is fabulous. Easy to use on camp fire, gas stove, electric stove hot plate etc. Easy to use, easy to clean and maintain. Provides a clean tasting coffee without the worry of chemicals from other cheap plastic coffee makes. Love it and itโs durable and reliable especially during power outages.

Loved this percolator
Love this percolator. It makes good coffee that stays hot for a second cup and it has no plastic or aluminum. If you donโt buy Bozeman coffee filters, be careful what you buy. The cheap ones I bought on Amazon that were supposed to be compatible with the Bozeman were too thick, and I had to return them. So I cut down a standard no2 filter that I had for my old drip coffee maker and it worked perfectly.

Makes strong, flavorful coffee.Attractive stainless-steel design. Easy to use and clean.
COLETTI Bozeman Percolator Coffee Pot (9-Cup) Review I purchased the COLETTI Bozeman Percolator Coffee Pot because I wanted a coffee pot with no plastic or aluminum touching my coffee. The coffee it brews is rich, hot, and flavorful, and I appreciate the classic percolator design. However, I do have a concern. The top lid feels very flimsy compared to the rest of the pot. While the body appears sturdy, the lid doesn't seem as durable and makes me wonder how well it will hold up with regular use. One of the main reasons I bought this coffee pot was the company's claim that it is made from 18/8 food-grade stainless steel with no aluminum or plastic in the brewing components. According to COLETTI, all coffee-contact parts are stainless steel. That was a big selling point for me, and I hope the product truly lives up to those specifications over the long term. So far, the coffee quality is good, but durability remains to be seen. I'm especially watching how the lid and hinge hold up over time. If those parts prove durable, this could be an excellent coffee pot for daily use. Independent testing by Food & Wine also praised the Bozeman's all-stainless construction but noted that some parts, including the hinge and handle design, may be potential wear points. My overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars. Pros: No plastic or aluminum in the brewing path, according to the manufacturer. Makes strong, flavorful coffee. Attractive stainless-steel design. Easy to use and clean. Cons: Lid feels flimsy. Long-term durability is still questionable. Price is a little high if the lighter components don't hold up. Final Thoughts: I like the coffee this percolator makes and appreciate the stainless-steel construction. My biggest concern is the lightweight lid, which doesn't inspire confidence. I'm hoping it proves more durable than it feels because, aside from that issue, the pot has a lot of potential. Time will tell how well it stands up to everyday use. โ๏ธ๐

Really good, old fashioned coffee
I am really enjoying percolator coffee. It is a simple and quick way to make a quality coffee. The pot is easy to clean. With quite a large collection of coffee making implements, this is the favourite. To make a single mug of coffee, I use about 500ml of cold water and 25-30g of fairly coarsely ground beans. Put it on medium high heat until it starts to perk, turn the heat to medium low and perk for 7 minutes. >>>>>>delicious caffeine.

Vintage quality
Vintage is better ... A quality product that comes with a lifetime replacement guarantee for material failure for all metal parts. Not only is this product made better than the modern plastic coffee machine, the coffee tastes better and is a healthier option -- no plastic! Should have purchased this product years ago!
