This knife is the perfect first knife for anyone. It comes really sharp. And due to the half bolster, this knife will sharpen really well, and last you years and years. It comes very sharp, feels great in the hand and slices perfectly. It is great for a rocking motion, however the balance point is definitely into the blade rather than where the blade meets the handle. I think this is the perfect knife because it’s a chefs knife, one of the most versatile knife’s, and it’s the perfect size for that.

This excellent Victorinox knive cuts beautifully,so lovely and sharp. Great for cutting onions vegetables and meat. It's worth paying a bit more for a good quality knife.

Bought this ling time ago still going strong

I came back to review this as ive had it since 2020 and it's still going strong. I use it for everything - dicing veg, cutting meat etc

Fantastic knife for the money, you can do pretty much everything you need in the kitchen with a good chefs knife like this. Very sharp, good grip and holds a great edge. My only nitpick is I hoped it would have a heavier blade. If I ever need to replace it I might look at the broad bladed version for extra weight.

Wonderful knife. Comfortable and holds an edge really well, perfect if you are a commercial chef who wants a workhorse blade that will last and hold it's own against pricier options or a home cook who wants to splash out a little on a knife that will probably last you a lifetime and is loads better than the weird, gimmicky knives you can buy at most home supply shops.

My only criticism is that I'll have to don kevlar gloves when preparing a dish.

I have had a version of this knife for more than ten years, and it's still my favourite knife. Realised there was no reason not to buy duplicates so if one was in the wash (Dishwasher safe! Hooray!) I'd still have another. And so it has proved. This new version has a slightly different handle but it is still easy to hold. The curve of the blade enables a lovely rocking action that is great for fine chopping. And being brand new it is more than razor sharp - I've only cut myself on it once so far, brushing against the blade, and fortunately it was no worse than a paper cut. Judging by the old one's persistence I have every reason to believe this knife will still be cutting beautifully in twenty year's time.

Used the same knife block set of knives for twenty years before finally upgrading to this. From that perspective, this knife was the right price and a great buy. Sharp enough to cut through fully thawed chicken without just tearing it up like the old one did. Comfortable fit in my big hand. Been using it for quite a while now. It does have a few small nicks in the edge, but we have more than got our moneys worth. Use it almost exclusively on these nice quality composite material cutting boards, rather than the glass cutting board we punished our old knives with.

Ich nutze es hauptsächlich zum Portionieren von rohem Steak. Das Messer gleitet wie durch Butter durchs Fleisch; bin sehr zufrieden. Es sollte nur von Hand abgewaschen werden, damit es lange scharf bleibt.
