Not sure why, but the material used on Puffy Jackets always seems extremely thin and light weight. This is odd because the fabric is used on a lot of outdoor and cold weather clothing. Well this fabric lends itself to easily tear, causing the insulating fabric to exit the tearj. A branch, a jumping dog and even a loose car part will shred the fabric like a knife through butter. Sewing the tear looks terrible. We’ll let me tell you, that these patches work great on the tears. The patches are very easy to work with. The adhesive is very tacky and holds the material. The different size shapes offer a good selection to fix various size tears. I’m sure these have other worth while applications, but for fixing tears in puffy black jackets these work great.

This is a good alternative for regular ski wear tears but I have an upscale jacket and the tear is in a conspicuous spot - so I need an exact match or a clear patch. I haven't tried repairing before so I will look deeper into the Amazon offerings for an appropriate item.

I needed to somehow repair a 3cm scrape at knee height and ordered this kit because the colour matched quite well. The fabric in this area is stressed when walking, but the patch holds up perfectly, even after repeated washing. The colour hasn't changed, and the patch hasn't frayed in any way. Because it is very thin, it also folds with the fabric of the pants.

Mine were just a bunch of rectangular pieces. No pretty shapes. I cut a piece to patch my black puffer vest, which had a tiny hole in it. It worked great!

Does the job. DOES NOT blend well with original fabric.

You can't even tell that the jacket was ever torn. Extremely easy to use. Exact match in my case.

I bought these to patch a hole in my Columbia ski suit. The patch adhered instantly and has not peeled up or faltered despite several runs through the washing machine and dryer! Highly recommend!
