Perfect
I had a really old thermostat that was installed by some company and it was not user friendly and just wouldnt do anything unless they came out to reset it or cleasr codes so it had to go since we cancelled their service. This was very easy to install and after an error on my part thinking it needed a jump wire but did not, read the directions lol, it ran everything perfectly. Its giot a bright backlight and this reads the inside temp so much better and i love it. plus its nice and small.

Good, Basic Termostat
Pros and cons up front - more details below: Pros: - Low cost - Simple installation - User friendly programing modes - 5-2 programing for weekday-weekends - Large, legible display - Clean, modern appearance - Display can be popped off for painting Cons: - Need manual to decipher codes for initial set-up - Operates HVAC on a one degree split which increases system cycles We live in Hawaii and use this system only for air conditioning. Our ancient thermostat would no longer work in program mode and we needed a thermostat that could be programed to come on while we were away from home to utilize our photovoltaic system while we were gone rather than having excess power dumped back into the grid. The price was right on this one so we went ahead and grabbed it. The installation instructions were great and very detailed to ensure all the correct wires from the HVAC system were placed in the correct slots. The mounting system was simple and effective and I was able to uninstall the old thermostat and install the new one in about 10 minutes. Another 5 minutes of programming and we were good to go. Our old thermostat had paint all over it from tenants before we bought the home, this one has a small core that mounts to the wall and the main display easily pops off to paint for a clean paint job. We have identified only two things we do not like. First, the initial programing is done using system codes so loss of the user manual would make it impossible. Second, it runs on a one degree temperature swing so the air conditioner kicks on and off several times an hour. I would rather the thermostat allow a two degree temperature swing permitting the system to run for 20-30 minutes at a time rather than 10-15 minutes at a time. This would reduce the number of start-up high power draws and reduce overall wear on my air conditioning system. All said though, we are happy with our purchase and what we got for the money.

Excellent Way to Control Temperature
I installed two of these (one for each of our systems). 30 days later, I have noticed the systems not running as often as previously since the program settings prevent them from being set too low (by "unauthorized" family members) for long periods! I have also noticed the house "feels" comfortable more often than previously. They have FOUR programmed time settings WAKE-AWAY-HOME-SLEEP. Just set the temp and start time for each range. Here's an example for cooling (times in 24 hour and temps in F but you can set for AM/PM and C): WAKE=0630 TEMP=73 AWAY=0800 TEMP=75 HOME=1700 TEMP=73 SLEEP=2230 TEMP=72 Time periods can be set differently for each weekday but will be the same for both the weekend days. Time periods can be skipped as well (e.g. you can set it to have only HOME & SLEEP modes on weekends). If someone changes the setting, the temperature returns to the programmed setting when the next time period is reached. Using above settings as an example, if in AWAY mode and user drops setting to 72, unit remains at 72 until HOME time period at which time temp returns to 73 and then follows the programming cycle as outlined. The instructions are very straight forward and easy to follow. I suggest taking a picture of your existing wiring as well as writing it down to insure no mistakes. BE SURE TO TURN OFF BOTH your existing thermostat AND the BREAKER to your air handler before installing to avoid any shorts/etc. while changing wiring! Once batteries are installed, units can be set up on bench top and then just plugged into the wiring. It was nice to have them all set up when I was ready to install rather than having to make all those adjustments on the wall. Units come pre-programmed to "learn" how your system responds and will turn on before time periods to insure temperature setting is reached by the time period start time. This feature can be disabled if desired and the instructions identify how to do this. Finally, units can be programmed to display a reminder to change the AC filter. The reminder can be based on run time or calendar days elapsed. Very nice units at a reasonable price. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to get a little better control over their HVAC operation while still allowing family members to make "temporary" comfort adjustments.

Great quality and price
I live in a 1st floor apartment plagued with floor and ceiling condensation issues created by my upstairs and downstair neighbors, and their 24/7 AC-on lifestyle. Entered this little guy. It’s been a lifechanger. Now, my AC has a flexible programmig to be on and off, acordding to my schedule and keep the place moisture-free. Easy, simple and lasting solution to my problems.

Great Thermostat; Great Customer Service
When a friend complained about the excessive complexity of her thermostat, I got this Honeywell RTH6360 series model. One of the nice things about it is that is can be set to a 5-2 programmable mode (weekdays separate from weekends) or it can be set for non-programmable operation (which is what I did). It can be set for Auto or Manual, so if you want automatic changeover from heat to cool (if it's cold at night and hot during the day, Auto can be very useful). It also has the flexibility of working with one or two stage heat, heat pumps, and lots more. Setup is fairly easy if you have the manual, so you can compare the setup codes. (My one peeve is something many manuals do: it refers users to another page to get information that could be printed in the same or less space . The manual says, "For instructions on how to enter Setup mode, see page 14." On page 14 we read, "To enter Setup mode, hold down Menu and + for five seconds." Anyway, I installed the thermostat and the heat didn't work. After what I thought was extensive analysis, I called Honeywell customer service. The representative was very patient and helpful. We ended up demonstrating that the thermostat was fine and that the problem was elsewhere. (Ultimately, it was a broken thermostat wire in the attic--who would've thunk? Anyway, scene 2. I recommend this very nice digital thermostat. I have it set up so the if my friend is cold, she can press plus or minus for more heat or less heat. Good job, Honeywell.

Good purchase
Product arrived quickly and well packaged. It looks just like the one we had, but it allows for programming. You can set programs for 5 days/week + 2 days/SS or you can do individual days. I don't know how many programs it allows because we just do the 5 and 2. The setup was easy, but the instructions were unclear on the initial setup. Before entering programs, you need to enter parameters in a sub-menu like Fahrenheit/Celsius, etc. I couldn’t figure out how to get into this sub-menu, so I just setup the programs. Overnight, I had set the a/c to 69degrees around 11:00 pm. For several nights, it kept going down to 69% well before 11:00 pm like around 8:00 pm, so that I’d have to override programming to stop it from decreasing too early. We finally got into the sub-menu and were able to control this “advance programming” feature, so that the program starts the new temperature at the time indicated rather than advance starting, so that it is at the new temperature at the indicated time. Kind of a big difference. After we figured that out, it worked the way we wanted it to work. Overall, we’re happy with the new unit. Took my husband about 30 minutes to install. Took us 3-days to figure out how to get into the sub-menu (simultaneous holding of program and plus sign button). Not very expensive. Works great.

Do NOT Buy this Piece of Junk!
Do NOT buy this piece of junk! Yes, it is easy to install, but apparently, they send out a slew of bad ones, and will tell you that you need to call an HVAC Tech when it's the thermostat that is the issue. Installed this piece of garbage that was supposed to be compatible with my heat pump heat/ac system. Thought it was working, but then the fan would NOT turn off, even when the fan wire (green) is disconnected. Went through all the troubleshooting on the Honeywell website, and it indicated that that meant your HVAC system had a fault. My neighbors happened to have an A/C tech out, and I paid him cash to come look at my issue. He told me that this model thermostat was KNOWN to be defective too often brand new and out of the box, and told me he's suggest I pay the $50 for a different/better one before having me pay him a minimum of $100 to check out the system, especially if this issue only appeared after installing this new one.. By this time, I had passed the return window for returning the defective thermostat to Honeywell. So I had to pay more $ to order a different model. Bought the one most similar to the old one that died. Lo and behold, no issues whatsoever, and no continuously running fan. So what I got from buying this piece of garbage was an inflated power bill, a payment to an HVAC tech, and the cost to buy yet another new thermostat. I am out well over a hundred bucks b/c Honeywell does NOT say the fan issue, something apparently known to be common with this model in the HVAC community, has anything to do with this garbage thermostat, despite it being a known issue. Apparently you are rolling the dice that you will be one of the few who actually gets a good, non defective unit when you order this model. Save yourself the unnecessary expenditures and the headaches and run away, far and fast, from this terrible thermostat NOT up to the Honeywell brand reputation. Buy any model BUT this piece of non-working junk. I am SO not happy about all the $ I am out by reading the reviews that fallaciously say this is a good choice.

Good Looking, Easy to Install Programmable Thermostat
I was looking for a Basic Programmable Thermostat that was easy to install, reliable and was easy to setup and control. That's exactly what this Honeywell RTH6360 thermostat is. Installation was straightforward. The thermostat can run on two AA batteries and doesn't require a C wire to operate although if you have one it's a good idea to connect it so it can be powered from the furnace and only use the batteries as a back up. The programming is done on the thermostat screen itself. The instructions are good and the menu is intuitive and easy to follow. This thermostat looks good and isn't too big or industrial looking. It's very stylish and the LCD screen is backlit so it's easy to see in dim hallways or at night. If you're looking for a reliable, programmable thermostat that looks good and is easy to install - You've found it! At a price of $77 it's affordable and competitive with other programmable thermostats. Overall I like this thermostat a lot, the only feature I wish it had was a trim ring so it would cover the screw holes left by previous thermostats in some installations. Many other thermostats have a trim bezel or trim plate that can be installed behind the thermostat to cover larger areas then the thermostat itself. This one doesn't offer that option so if the thermostat you are replacing is larger than the RTH6360 you will have to patch the exposed screw holes and repaint around the thermostat. Good, Reliable Thermostat and a Competitive Price - Highly Recommend

Good Features Yet Easy to Install and Operate
Easy to install, easy to set up, easy to operate, easy to read, nice looking, programmable, robust, reliable, and affordable. I am a 65 year-old female, and I installed and set it up myself. I especially like the back light and the fact that the clock adjusts automatically between daylight savings time in the Spring and standard time in the Fall. I like the fact that it's neither too small nor too large, and white/grey in color (unlike some of the blue or orange Wifi thermostats - I didn't need a Wifi thermostat, nor did I want the extra complexity associated with installing one). There is virtually nothing about this thermostat that I don't like.
