Herb Medicine Encyclopedia.
This is an excellent resource book. The book is hard covered and goes into herb origins, has pictures of each herb, and thorough/detailed explanation about how each herb has uses medically. Also, the herb book discusses medical contraindications encouraging consumer use with doctors instructions ie interactions with other medications. I highly recommend this book for people exploring herbal uses for treating ailments. ***Make sure your doctor knows what herbs you are taking because some herbs can make some mainstream medications ineffective and/or contraindicated for the ailment you are treating.

A great body of work in herbal medicine.
A very complete compendium of herbal medicine. First is an encyclopedic reference of medicinal herbs, preparation and use. There also is a section on the various ways to prepare botanicals and also a list of their use arranged by malady. At the end are two very complete indices sorted by herb and by use. An excellent reference volume for those wanting to learn the proper preparation and use of medicinal herbs.

Great resource
This is very thorough and helpful. I love that it not only is an encyclopedia of herbs but also gives useful instruction to using them in addition to drawings of 100 of them. The only thing I do wish it had would be a way to divide it by areas the plants grow best in/are native to in order to know where to look for them in the wild. It does give a list to some degree in the beginning where it breaks down historical herbal medicine by region.

Thorough and still concise
I just started growing an indoor herb and tea garden. It’s been so cool learning about the different uses and native habitats of so many medicinal plants. I’m happy I got the book, it was worth it.
