Really tasty, high quality product. I only bought them here because my local supermarket stopped stocking pilchards.

Delicious!
All sardines/pilchards are not equal. These are extremely tasty, and I'm always sorry when they're out of stock and I have to resign myself to a less flavourful brand.Heat a little of the olive oil from the can in a frying pan, add finely chopped onion and slow-fry until soft. Add drained sardines and freshly-ground black pepper to the pan and mash it all together over the heat until thoroughly warmed through. Serve on toast (ideally wholegrain with pumpkin seed or malthouse sourdough). One of my top favourite breakfasts, and so simple and nutritious, too!

Sardines or Pilchards, you decide.
All very confusing as I was expecting sardine fillets but I think they are pilchard fillets. All healthy though I’m sure. Not tried them yet but they are Cornish which has to be a good thing.

Exceptional..
After purchasing and trying these Exceptional quality sardines 10/10, I'm struggling to understand the poor reviews. Maybe it is like drinking wine.? Some people can drink the cheapest wines and be quite happy because of the price, but those who rather quality over quantity would take one nice glass full, over a whole bottle of cheap plonk any day. Like I said it's all down to taste, and to be honest, these are probably the best sardines I've had out of a tin in the last 45 years. The last supermarket tin I got was so bad it went straight in the bin, so it didn't save10p per tin. I just ordered another 2 cases to keep in the cupboard so that I don't run out.
