Exactly as described. I bought 2, for our first and second floor hallways, and they start to light the emergency glow light at dusk. The torch is bright and always ready to go. Very good and 5/5 stars.

Simple to use, item can also be used as a hand torch and switches on as you lift it out of cradle and goes off when replacing it. It also has a night light that gives off enough light to see where you are going plus that it’s working. Needs no maintenance and has a bright torch light.

Seems like a nice, sturdy emergency light/torch. I have plugged it in to charge up and all works as expected. Service was satisfyingly prompt, as I needed it for a holiday let, as emergency lighting to satisfy fire regs. How it works in practice remains to be seen! One slight disappointment is that I note the instructions say the torch isn't waterproof, but the 'blurb' i read when selecting it claimed it can be used outside. This influenced my choice as it will be set up in a small cabin in the garden and seemed more appropriate than other designs that we already have, in our larger attached lets, that can only be used indoors.

Have owned same one for 10yrs and only just failed, so no hesitation in getting exact same one again. Brilliant little torch with great nite light.

Brilliant idea. Going to get another two. They passively light the floor below where you plug them in so you can always find them in a power cut. When you pull the torch out of the holder it lights up fully and you can turn it on and off as a normal torch. Then when finished with it you just put it back in the holder and it passively charges it to full again. I have a pair at the bottom of the stairs and one in the top floor corridor., one in the kitchen by the electrical cupboard and will get another for the front porch so when you come home to a power cut you have immediate access to a fully charged torch you can find in the dark.. Again great idea this.

Very pleased with this, works great and very handy torch

Both torches now flicker after a few seconds of high beam use. We bought these for taking the dog out at night. Both now flicker when on full beam meaning you need to use them on low beam which renders them rather useless. They lasted about a month before this fault developed on both.
