The Revision Toolbox, Second Edition: Teaching Techniques That Work

I am currently using this book with an adult group in a retirement community as they write and revise their "stories." Having six, seven, and eight decades of life experiences, there is no lack of ideas and stories in this group. So these tools are just that—excellent tools to organize and polish writing pieces. I used this years ago when I was teaching elementary school. Happily, the same concepts apply, no matter what the age.

As a teacher who is working on changing my revision practices this year, this book has exactly what the title says: a toolbox. I have been able to sue several of these strategies already.

VERY resourceful read that can appeal to elementary and middle school teachers. Well organized into tips and tricks to nurture the mindset of revision.

I needed this for a graduate class.

This book is amazing and so useful. Georgia Heard is one of my all time favorite writing gurus. You can't go wrong with this book and her first writing toolbox is super helpful too!
