Don’t mix it with anything else **Q: Will this help my egg bound chicken** A: I haven't used the product as i managed to get zolcal d. Calcium does help an egg bound chicken however, i do not know if this product can be given neat (like zolcal d) in order to give a calcium boost. 3 week ago, my hen was egg bound for 48 hours, calcium didnt help. I had to take my hen to the vet, after examination she laid the egg and was immediately implanted to stop her laying. A warm bath with epsom salts, blow dry and massage may help as it relaxes muscles around egg. Hope your hen will be okay. **Q: Hi, how quick we should expect improvements in egg shells?** A: Sorry but this didn't make much of a difference with my girls, I think as they get older the shells naturally get thinner. **Q: Would this be ok for budgies & cockatiels or is it for bigger birds? TIA** A: It’s fine for budgies!! Father in law breeds them and he uses this! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A supplement that works. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 June 2025* Even though my hens have access to calcium grit I was having problems with soft shelled eggs. After discussing this with other keepers and some reading, I concluded that this problem is due to the recent lengthy incarceration caused by the poultry housing order. I decided to try this product to support the girls just before and after their release I am glad I did. Within two days I found eggs with strong shells and the girls looking a lot happier with themselves. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for ex-batts and laying hens *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 November 2020* I’ve been adding this to my chickens’ water since rescuing some ex-batts a few months ago. They are looking amazing, their feathers came back very quickly and their egg shell quality is very good. I add it along with Agrivite Poultry Drink and my chooks drink loads without any issues with the flavour, if there is any. It gives me the reassurance they are getting all their nutritional needs and they look great on it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So good for the birds *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 4 February 2026* I buy this for a community garden where we are fighting to keep meat birds alive long, long past their their usual “sell by” date and they kept dying. This product keeps them alive, if they don’t have it everything goes wrong, therefore I think that it is amazing. ## Frequently Bought Together - AGRIVITE ENHANCE 500ml POULTRY CALCIUM LIQUID SUPPLEMENT AVIARY BIRDS PIGEON - Biolink - Poultry Tonic 500ml - Verm-X Poultry Zest for Recovery After Moulting.
