I purchased this to protect a bench top that our cats like to scratch on. It’s a great cover and for our purpose, it stops them from scratching.

I bought this because my son has a bench on the end of his bed. It was leather covered and immediately our cat started to scratch it. This was the perfect cover that stretched far enough to fit it and it's very soft. Would buy again.

The fabric is jersey knit which I don't love but, the colors are pretty and it comes off for washing easily.

The before and after photos says it all. A drab bench (which could not be cleaned not matter what I used) was revitalized!The material is very soft. I actually needed a smaller size (48 x 18), but since only this is the color I needed and it only came in the larger size (54 x 17), I bought it. It worked out fine. I just had to tuck a little bit of material in on the sides. No biggie.

The intended goal was successful to cover an existing bench for under $20. However, the 'seersucker' is measleading since it refers to the slight resemblance to that pattern with the actual fabric being simply a puckering design, made of a very thin material, which is rather see through. The existing cover is slightly visible due to the thin quality of the fabric as is the ability to get the fit. I am fine with the legs showing which was intended and the fit is ok. I doubt it is very washable or durable but will work for a guest room.
