When I have ulcers, it holds dressings in place. When I don't have ulcers it acts as a liner for compression stockings. Any break in the skin stains the bandage and gives me "early warning" to put a dressing on before the wound becomes a problem.Reading comments from people who hve had problems, I think that they need the next size down, the red stripe, because they seem to be using the bandage on their arms. The blue stripe works on lower legs and yellow stripe works if I want to take the bandage above the knee.
