On top of that, people around So-yeon begin to die one by one.Soon, So-yeon comes face to face with the bob-haired girl at the scene of a horrific death. So-yeon gets rid of Silky hoping her troubles will come to an end, but Silky keeps coming back. Convinced that she could be the next to die, So-yeon sets out to discover the identity of this mysterious girl with the help of Jun-seok, her dead friend's ex-boyfriend.

Not bad
Not a bad horror better than most, good watch for a day when you've not got a lot else to do

Well worth watching ;-)
Not your typical horror film but good none the less, very much like The Ring in atmosphere and there are some genuinely scary moments. Well worth watching, I don't think I will look at a cat in the same way again ;-)

The Only Thing Scary About This Film is the Way they Handle the Cats
I'm giving this film 3 stars as I quite enjoyed the last 30 minutes or so. But the remaining hour or so wasn't the best/scariest I've seen. The film does state in the credits that no cats were harmed, however, I don't think their handling standards were as high as some other countries. Cats were swiped/hit with force out of the way, causing the animal to cower and hiss. Fully grown adult cats are lunged around by the scruff of their neck (any cat owner knows that this is painful for an adult cat) and I am very concerned about one scene where a cat is pinned by its neck and is laying stricken with its mouth gaping and eyes wide. In many (most) of the scenes the body language clearly displayed distress with ears pulled back, clearly cowering, tails tucked between lega, and struggling to get away or escape. As for the storyline, very typical like The Ring or The Grudge with a few dark characters and jumpy spots. The last 30 minutes was very good but overall a very average film

Good movie, poor DVD
More of a rant than a review unfortunately, not at the film but at this particular UK DVD release from 'Matchbox Films'. The picture transfer appears to be a poor NTSC to PAL conversion and suffers from noticeable motion blur. Even the subtitles (which are burned-in) feature the odd mistake. Quite sloppy quality control going on here, which is a shame as the film is half decent too. These problems didn't completely kill the viewing experience however and I continued watching until the end enjoying the film overall. And as for the movie itself, well it's a solid supernatural offering from Korea. Nothing ground-breaking or original but it get's the job done and provides an intriguing enough story and some spooky moments along the way, mostly by way of the freaky looking cat-faced girl. And yes, there's lots of adorable kitties for you cat-lovers to enjoy... though their cuteness is totally wasted with me, I'm convinced they're the spawn of Satan. Whenever I've knelt down to pet and show a kitty some love I'm met with a hiss and a rapid cat-claw combo for my troubles! But anyways, the movie was memorable enough to deserve a recommendation, shame the DVD release failed to match it's quality.

A feline 'Dark Water'
This is essentially 'Dark Water' with cats so if you've seen that already then I've let this particular cat out of the bag as far as what the actual plotline is. The main crux of the story is pretty much identical. It's okay. I can't say there was a scary moment in it, the usual shots of 'person A' in the foreground with plenty of scope for something to appear in frame behind them. I think Korean horror is a bit passe now myself; it seems to have dated quite quickly and run out of ideas. At least there wasn't an over-reliance on hair in this one.Anyway, there's a bit of blood, not much; some nice cats though the cat on the cover and back of the dvd is barely in it and the blood soaked girl front and back is entirely erroneous, no such scene or image is contained therein. It's probably a relatively interesting introduction into asian horror though I would say go for 'Dark Water' which I felt was the much stronger more oppressive of the two very similar themed films.
