Why so much sodium? What does adding the sodium hydroxide do to this black cocoa that the Anthony organic cocoa powder unsweetened doesn't have?

We did. It was brown at first but turned black as it set.

Healthy addition to smoothies and baked items!!!

Love this dark chocolate and its organic. It was out of stock for awhile and I had to sub with a different brand that was not organic. We use it in our smoothies every other day for the added health benefits and we love it! I also use it in baking as my desert have no oils, butters or refined sugars and Anthony's Cocoa adds great flavor!!!!

Oreo Vibes of Deliciousness!

This stuff is AMAZING! I am an active person who works out often and walks daily, so my protein needs are pretty significant. I find that I like to replace one meal a day (esp in the summer) with a Protein Shake to pack a large protein punch after working out. I was getting pretty burned out on my usual protein smoothie until I found Black Cocoa Powder! It changed everything. It took my ordinary protein smoothie and turned it into an Oreo Delight! It packs 2 grams of Protein and 2 grams of Fiber. One Tablespoon of the black cocoa makes an ordinary protein shake velvety smooth and decadent. I also like that Anthony's is organic, cost effective (1 bag lasts me 2 months), and delicious! If you are on the fence, give it a try. A little goes a long way!
