UYIYE Protective Case for Steam Deck - Kickstand Case - Reliable Accessory in White

Nice clean white case to protect my steam deck with supportive plastic kickstand that has multiple angles.Only complaint if any is the case is thick enough that button travel distance for a,b,x,y keys feels shorter than usual so if you played steam deck alot without a case muscle memory makes you want to press it more than necessary. But any dpad movement or key presses isn't impeded at all. I am sure you would be accostumed to it after using it. Screen protector probably not needed as 1mm gap is big enough to prevent it from drops and shatters. Seems like there is enough room to add one if you wanted for anti glare, privacy, blue light etc.

Hello all so this case here is honestly not that bad it covers the whole steam deck and is easy to install. I do agree with some other reviews that the matériels feel a little cheap but it’s not that bad overall. My biggest issue overall with this product is that it’s extremely hard to take off if you need to for any reason. I purchased the white case and buyer beware it’s not a clean white it’s more of a slightly off white.

This case works ok. It clicks together and feels sturdy once it’s on the steam deck. This makes the face buttons and dpad feel very shallow and not as good to use. I didn’t notice any noticeable change to the steam deck temperatures. The kickstand feel very cheap. The grips feel good and cushy. I refuse to use it though because of the color. It is by no means white. It is a beige cream color similar to a skin tone. It’s very ugly and makes the steam deck look and feel cheap. I won’t be using it.

I'm not going to lie, when I initially opened the packaging I cringed. Hard. The bumper padding on the lower left and right is slightly crinkled around the edges and honestly reminds me of used bandages. Additionally, because this shell is sent in three pieces not everything lines up perfectly flush even once you firmly snap all of the pieces into place. The gap in the lower left and right looks pretty significant to me but I'm also a bit OCD. Similarly, the upper area near the left and right bumpers also does not line up perfectly. (See photos.)If you do choose to give this shell a chance, it is extremely important that you get the back side into position FIRST and start aligning from the TOP, NOT the bottom! The lower section is VERY difficult to remove if it is secured first. I felt like I was going to damage my Deck or break this thin shell once I realized my mistake.The kick stand looks like a bit of a joke. It is so thin and flimsy. I would not feel comfortable using it.Overall, the quality of the shell is mediocre. You can tell that it did not cost a lot of money to manufacture. Once fully installed it actually looks pretty nice (from the front view). I do like the contrast between the cream color shell and the black system. I just wish the pieces all lined up 100% perfectly and that the padding on lower left and right looked a bit nicer.
