Very good product but not used it yet. Good for soaking your children's night clothes. It can withstand 6 hand washes. Soak your children's night clothes and dry them. This will keep them safe in the night, especially during power outages in areas with heavy mosquitoes. You can spray on mosquito nets, hiking gear and evening clothes too. I highly recommend this product.

This is the half of insect protection most people skip. DEET on skin handles mosquitoes in the moment, but permethrin on fabric is what actually keeps ticks from climbing your pant legs in the first place, and it stays put through washings. The 12-ounce bottle treated one full outfit for me — pants, long-sleeve shirt, socks, plus my ball cap — with a little left over for the daypack straps. Plan on more than one bottle if you're doing the whole family or a full set of camp clothes. The trigger sprayer is a genuine improvement over the aerosol version: better control, no overspray drifting where you don't want it, and you can actually tell when fabric is evenly damp instead of guessing. Method that worked for me: hang everything on a line outside, spray until the fabric is uniformly damp but not dripping, pay extra attention to socks, cuffs, and waistband, then let it dry a full two hours in the shade. Once dry it's completely odorless and invisible — nobody can tell my hiking pants are treated. Results speak for themselves. Two seasons of trail work in tick country in Pennsylvania and Virginia, and the ticks I find are crawling on the outside of treated fabric, dead or dying, instead of on me. Held through five or six wash cycles before I retreated, right in line with what the label claims. Two real cautions worth knowing. Wet permethrin is genuinely toxic to cats, so treat outdoors and don't bring anything back inside until it's bone dry. And it goes on clothing only, never skin. Follow those two rules and this is the single best thirteen dollars in outdoor gear I spend each year.
