Easy setup, but I'm a techy. YMMV
I bought a GT6 pair at the decent price of $300, which is half-off the original price when it first came out. This is a screaming deal in my book. It was to replace my legacy Amplifi HD mesh which was actually working well still, but I was overdue for a network upgrade. I looked at several other mesh systems, but the GT6 features intrigued me, and there were a lot of great reviews on it.I run a Firewall Purple in front of my Wi-Fi, and I made sure ahead of time I could run the GT6 in a similar config as my Amplifi, which I had in "Bridge" mode. I found the AP mode was going to be the equivalent, so I bit and ordered the GT6 mesh. I was a little concerned during setup because I previously had a two 2.4G networks setup with one dedicated for IoT devices. I setup a 2.4 guest network for those on the GT6, and they all connected right away to it.The range on the GT6 mesh is impressive. I'm not even sure I needed the 2 pack because most of my devices connect to the primary node on my main level even though they are closer to the node in the basement. I have cameras several feet away outside that have an adequate signal even with me not having an AP out in that area anymore. The speeds with this router are impressive compared to my old Amplifi, and I can finally utilize more of my 1Gb internet connection than before. Granted, because I am running the GT6 in AP mode I don't have access to some of the security features, but it fits my use case very well. I highly recommend this mesh system to anyone looking for easy setup and great connectivity at decent speeds.

Simple setup, strong signal, great speeds
My previous system was a Netgear mesh network and I would say this system matches it in terms of setup and ease of use if all you care about is getting online. Once you dig into settings and start customizing your setup, though, the ASUS UI is leaps and bounds better, even if the gamer-centric interface is a little dated. TheOne tip for maximum speeds: Unless you really need it for something, just turn the QoS settings off. I noticed I was getting about 50-60% speeds on speedtest.net on my phone, laptop, and gaming desktop, so I went down the internet rabbit hole to fix it. Turns out, ASUS's QoS settings seem to work differently than some others I've used: rather than just prioritizing certain traffic IF there is a conflict, it seems to reserve bandwidth for whatever services you designate as top priority. This would probably be totally fine if you have a fast enough connection to spare the bandwidth, but it was confusing to not see the full speed of my network during testing.Other than that, I noticed that I get better performance in my home with one node upstairs and one downstairs. The radios in these seem to be aligned to spread the signal out horizontally better than they do vertically. That's just a hunch, but moving the 2nd node upstairs solved my weak signal areas.

Excellent Mesh WiFi Coverage Questionable
Once again this mesh system has failed to stay online. Reconnecting is very difficult—a day-long project at best. If system would stay online, a previous review would be true: “Asus G6 WiF mesh system with a Asus router and several nodes—some new but three older Asus models—provides excellent WiFi coverage throughout the house and yard. However, it took three setup tries using a computer connected by Ethernet to get the system up to strong WiFi signals on all the nodes. Overall, this is the best mesh system of three that I have tried. With the strong signals on each node, WiFi speed is very fast.”

Find a better mesh router, including Orbi's (ugh). Simply the best, well done Asus (GT6)
I have worked in IT for about 31 years. Because I work for an excellent company I am able to work from home where I am the caregiver for my 84 year old mother. I can NOT afford to be down, I have gigabit service (Fiber) into my home. My original (2 set, different models) Orbi RBK752P went belly up after a power outage (even though they are on battery backups w/Surge Protection), got sick of factory resetting these things trying to get it working again (second model this happened to me). So I then tried a LinkSys Velop Micro 6 Mesh 2-node system, while it worked well, the admin UI is horrible (I did keep the LinkSys for backup). So I tried Asus XT9 2-node mesh, did NOT like them, just could not get them to perform to my satisifaction. Finally landed on Asus GT6. So happy, everything works, every single setting that I have used to configure optimal WIFI and hard wired port connections works perfectly. Look if you are doing mesh with an area up to 5800 sq ft, this is the one you get, pay the money you will NOT regret it. One last rant, we see all these so-called professional reviews on this type of hardware and others and yet they NEVER discuss support behind the product. Netgear support is the worst, unless you pay after the 90 day support warranty then I am still not impressed. Linksys support, suspect but better. Asus support by far is the best of the (3) and this is coming from someone that deals with software support vendors every single week. I HIGHLY recommend the GT6, give them a try if you want a mesh system that is highly configurable with accurate data.

Fast and easy setup. Liking the results so far
My previous home setup included a TP-Link wifi-router system and various Netgear boosters around the house. The home is 2100 ft^2 and even with 3 boosters, there were nearly dead spots. In the more distal portions of the house, we would get upload/download speeds of <100 Mbps (we have ATT fiber 1 Gb coming in). I set up a 2-mesh system and we are getting 700-800 on the upload and download throughout the house. Very pleased so far. I have not experienced the reported momentary drops and I did update the firmware for both. There are some important things I learned during setup. One the phone app (while adequate) is not as easy to use as the web gui. I also found that I had to disconnect all the signal repeaters in the house to get the setup to work. There are a few tweaks you can make and there are numerous videos to help. It took me about 45 minutes to get the mesh system positioned and optimized for maximum performance. It's also nice that you can turn off the (pretty) LED light show if desired. All-in-all I am happy so far with the purchase and would recommend it to others.
