Men's Kahuna III Sandals Trekking & Hiking Shoes

Quite simply the best sandals and best walking sandals I have ever worn. These are my second pair. The first lasted 20 years and were used in all terrains. The new model is even more comfortable with simpler design, tough and sure footed. I have hiked in rugged landscape with them (urban and rural). A good fit, and a bargain when I bought them with a discount. But I would pay top money for them.

Excellent quality and comfort, as always from Merrell, they may be a little more expensive than some other brands but my last pair lasted over 3 years and only needed replacement because the sole wore out through constant use.

My summer walking sandals were getting well past their sell by date and then after a long time spent in a large shopping centre looking in every outdoor and shoe shop I had found nothing other than some ludicrously high priced options. Stopped for a coffee and browsed my phone to find these - which are exactly the same as the worn out shoes I wanted to replace. !! It always seems a bit boring to buy the same thing but I knew they would be comfortable and last reasonably well and they were half the price of many that I had been looking at and rejected. It was only after ordering that I found some really poor reviews and wondered if the design had changed. My concerns were unfounded. I am pleased to say they are exactly the same as my originals and for my very wide size 11 feet fit perfectly. I am still trying to understand reviews complaining they are not adjustable as they have adjustment across the foot and on the instep. the section across the foot has a non adjustable liner but that is thin soft very stretchy wet suit type material and goes around my huge wide size 11s in comfort. In conclusion these are reasonably lightweight, smart enough to wear casually as they do not look like hill walking kit, lightweight for packing, comfortable and at a reasonably sensible price. I know from experience that the soles last well. In fact although the uppers on my old shoes are really worn out the soles have masses of mileage left in them.

Bought these from Amazon as I have had a previous pair which lasted and lasted, and still use today after about thirteen years though they do show signs of use by now they are still very functional. I have seen these on the High Street, in discounted outlets and via other mail order at much higher prices than Amazon are advertising. They are a good comfortable sandal, good when wet, such as sea water or rain and maintain good appearance for a long time. I have bought cheaper and had to attempt repairs after getting wet, forget those cheaper makes, I'm sticking with Merrell. There was a minor hiccup regarding delivery, but this was dealt with swiftly and expertly by an Amazon sales representative and I must applaud Amazons Customer Service response for that. In summary, the best make of sandal with plenty of styles to choose from, the best prices after several comparisons and the best supplier and customer services out there. I highly recommend you try Merrell from Amazon. :After reading this myself for typos etc, I may just buy a second pair as the review was so good.

These are probably best rafters/sandals I've ever owned. They're expensive - I got them for a significantly reduced price. But the original high price (£80-100) is definitely justified considering fit & overall quality. They're extremely comfortable with no slippage no matter the terrain - I walked on rocks, stones, dunes, tough trails with no issues. The fit is great & true to size. Very importantly - they do not stink! No matter they get wet (sea, fresh water) or just from sweat they will not smell bad like many cheaper poor quality rafters will. Get these - they are definitely worth it.

As always with Merrill well made, and exactly as described. Fits perfectly and for sandals, offers reasonable foot protection when walking.

The front part sole is very thin and has no support for the toes. It will definitely get stuck on boulders and steps if you don't lift the feet high enough. The toes feel in free dangling, no support, no protection. THe bridge fit is not good - there is a hard part sticking out that pushes painfully into the skin. Returned my pair because these don't feel comfoortable at all.

Ich trage im Sommer gerne Sandalen und habe bislang ein Paar einer anderen Marke getragen - bis diese mir auf La Palma buchstäblich zerbröselt sind.Daher brauchte ich Ersatz und habe diese Merrell-Treter für schmales Geld gekauft. Der Tragekomfort ist sehr gut. Nichts wackelt oder zwickt bei diesem Modell. Der Fuß wird gut belüftet und musste auch bereits den einen oder anderen Tauchgang - beim Paddeln! - mitmachen. Alles ohne Probleme. Keine Naht hat sich gelöst und der Klettverschluss arbeitet auch einwandfrei! Wichtig: Die Schuhe fallen eher etwas größer aus. Wenn man sonst Merrell-Schuhe kauft, muss man locker 1,5 Größen dazurechnen. Ist hier NICHT der Fall. Die gewohnte Größe kaufen - und selbst dann, sind die Schuhe noch ein Tick zu groß.
