Can children use these?

As one off uses they'd be fine for kids to use, you might find that you need to perhaps cut a small chunk of some of the wax off to make the earplugs a little smaller, so they fit better in the ear. In terms of sleeping with them in every night on a permanent basis, I'd say no though. These earplugs create a build up of wax inside the ear after some time using them - presumably because they don't let your natural earwax out during sleep as it would normally slowly work its way out. Both my dad and I have had issues with wax build up after prolonged use, and this has in the past led to ear infections, and the feeling of slightly blocked up hearing. I try and alternate use between foam and these if I can to limit this happening.

are these vegan? what wax is used?

I've looked on the enclosed leaflet within the box and it just states, pure wax. I suggest you contact Quies and ask them for more info, quies.com They are manufactured in France.

Is it hard to remove them from your ear once it's moulded to the shape?

No. You just pinch the bit of wax pertruding from your ear and wiggle the whole plug out. The wax never comes apart or breaks because it’s bound together with lots of tiny cotton fibres.
