Awesome. Great quality. Update after a lot of use: I still love these! They continue to perform well and stay sharp. I use them to cut the threads off of leather needles and the way I do it the blades do make contact with the needle. I was expecting quick dulling or nicking of the blades. Nope. Still as sharp as the first day.

High quality thread snips. Maintains its sharpness. I’m a sewer and have gone through many many thread snips. They work well when they are new, then quickly loses sharpness and using them becomes a nuisance. These are the best I’ve ever had. Will be using this brand from now on.

I am left handed and this tool works really well. Great quality and easy to use. Way better that trying to use your regular scissors. It is sharp and pointy, and I keep it inside the foam that the snip came from. I do not have little kids around anymore, but I would not leave this thing accessible to the little ones.

When I first started looking for thread nippers, I came upon a set that looks identical to these. In fact, there are several on Amazon that look the same as these, all sold by various sellers on here, many of which have a name that is just a series of randomly generated letters. The set I first bought has pivot screws that seem to be held together by Loctite, which makes it rather difficult to disassemble the blades, for when they eventually need to be sharpened. So, I was understandably skeptical of this set. To my surprise, these seem to be of better quality and could actually be taken apart. Sorry for the novel.

I bought this item for my nurse who was having a problem cutting with her cheap scissors now, she has a pair that cuts like butta.

Excellent Japanese-Made Sewing Scissors I am extremely pleased with these Tonma sewing scissors. They feel solid, well balanced and very comfortable in the hand, even when used for longer cutting sessions. The blades are exceptionally sharp and provide smooth, clean and precise cuts along the entire length. They handle different types of fabric very well, without pulling, folding or damaging the material. The 23 cm size is particularly practical for cutting larger fabric pieces and long, accurate lines. The overall construction and finish are excellent and reflect the quality expected from a product made in Japan. The scissors feel durable, reliable and clearly designed as a proper sewing tool rather than an ordinary pair of household scissors.
