... with having Bryan as a personal friend for a good number of years

As a professional working with venomous snakes myself and with having Bryan as a personal friend for a good number of years, I had been really looking forward to this book. I actually got a signed personal copy from Bryan and the copy I bought here from Amazon was a gift for another friend.Although Bryan had told me various stories over the years, it has been really enjoyable to read this book. Travel adventures, scary snake-bites, TV and film work, medical emergencies, incompetent divers nearly killing themselves and others because of their stupidity. The highs and lows of research.... challenging long accepted ideas and proving them wrong. This book has it all, excitement, danger, tragedy, globe-trotting, scientific discoveries and a wonderful love-story.

Venom, Metal and vehicle abuse. What's the worst that could happen?

Brilliant book, I hope there are more to come. This guy has had some seriously cool adventures, much of his outlook is probably shared by many people, those who like reptiles, animals in general and music that tends towards heavy. His life up to now has been interesting to say the least, in his field he's achieved much to the benefit of others, indirectly and directly. It's a quick read, as it's easy to plough through and I found it hard to put down, enlightening in many ways!

Amazing man. Amazing book. Brilliant. Not suitable for those that can't tolerate or respect all creepy crawlies.
