The 9403/2 has been designed for sanding flush to the wall, with the nose and side of the sander. The Belt Sander has a large front grip for user comfort and the cord is located on the upper part of the handle for user convenience. Review: A fantastic beast! - Great tool. Very powerful, great dust bag with little dust comes out during the process. Extremely easy to handle, install the sandpaper and adjust it. I’ve worked with it non stop for 8h in 3 days. Very happy with the result. It was a bit above my budget specially as I am not a professional and I just doing my deck for once, but I am glad to spend that money. Of course for something like my job you have to combine this with other sanders like a Detail Sander to do hard to reach areas.

**Q: Has anyone been able to compare the 9403 with the similar looking (externally) clarke cbs2 sander?**
A: no

**Q: What sanding belt is recommended?**
A: 100 mm sanding belts are available from a number of suppliers but I use those from Makita. In my opinion this is a very powerful sander and it needs to be kept moving over the surface to avoid cutting a grove. I use a 40 or 60 grade for very rough work evening up rough cut wood for example or rough floors. 100 grade for general work and 120 and above for fine work. However, I prefer to use an orbital sander for fine work. The Makita works well with a vacuum cleaner and extraction hose which Makita and others supply.

**Q: What is the correct voltage for this machine? In the description it says, 240V and in the technical details - 120V.**
A: I purchased this a few years ago (the product page shows "You last purchased this item on 17 May 2017." and I can confirm that it is 240V

**Q: Does this come with a 3 pin plug ?**

Great tool. Very powerful, great dust bag with little dust comes out during the process. Extremely easy to handle, install the sandpaper and adjust it. I’ve worked with it non stop for 8h in 3 days. What a great piece of kit! I used it during the construction of a large oak table and really put it through its paces and it never missed a beat. Fairly quiet for this type of equipment, has a really good solid feel to it and the dust extraction bag also worked flawlessly. Highly recommended.
