Love the look of the clock. It is very heavy and needs to be mounted into a stud. Ordered the clock in black but with the black hands it’s difficult to read the time, we will change out tbd hands. Also be aware that it needs to be hing away from a window as the light reflects in the glass cover.

Unfortunately this was a present and sat for a bit, so I can’t return :/The clock is gorgeous otherwise, just wish it worked.EDIT: the seller reached out within a couple days of my initial review. They offered to send a new part to get the clock working AND a full refund (which is above and beyond). This shows they really care about their customers. After my review, I used the sheet they sent with the clock (explains how to remove the mechanism for replacement) and watched some YouTube tutorials on battery operated clocks. I figured out the battery housing wasn't conducting and got it fixed. No need for a new part or a refund.I'm still keeping my review at 4* because I had to do repairs, but the mechanism could've jostled loose in shipping so it may have been out of the seller's hands . This company has excellent customer service, they'll get my business again if/when I seek another awesome clock.Additional comments: the clock really is gorgeous. I bought it as a gift for my girlfriend who loves clocks (but is also picky). The gears move at perfect speed, they're not obtrusive in our living room but still eye catching when you look at the clock. The face is real glass, not cheap plastic or anything that will shatter by looking at it. The wood is great quality (make sure to hit a stud when hanging, it's a heavy/sturdy clock!). The wood to metal ratio is perfect as well, it fits very well in our space.

The media could not be loaded. This clock is beautiful, but this is not the color I ordered. I ordered the cherry red color, but was sent red walnut. I gave it five stars because it is actually a gears clock with functioning gears. I just wish I would have received the clock that I ordered.

The media could not be loaded. This clock is so stunning. At almost 30" it's the perfect size for the area we selected. The gears move very slowly and it's just so classy and sexy (if a clock can be sexy). I bought the Black Walnut which matches our furniture and a hint of reddish color in the center matches our hallway rugs, furniture, and the decorative plate on the hallway entry console. Hints of gold in the gears and Roman numerals match the gold/yellow colored dining room set in the connected dining room area. It just works. It takes three AA batteries. Two for the gears, and one for the time. It was packed very well. We did use a straw to blow out the styrofoam pieces that ended up on the inside. Not a big deal at all. Very pleased with this purchase. What would have taken it over the top, would be to light up somehow. Can't see it in the dark, but it is still so worth it. Stunning!!!

After returning the first clock because it was received in damaged condition I was encouraged when I uncrated the replacement and it appeared to be in excellent shape……until I put the batteries in. The gears worked as advertised and as I waited in anticipation for some movement from the minute hand, and waited and waited and waited some more, I accepted the reality that the heart of this beautiful timepiece was stillborn. Not one easily discouraged I believed the instruction sheet’s advice to message Amazon for “assistance “. That assistance was confined to my options on how to return it for a refund or exchange the item.I wastes about an hour searching the internet attempting to locate the Dorboker company, hoping to score a replacement battery box/clockwork. All queries led me back to Amazon or eBay for the clock or ones like it. Even a query for just the battery box/clockwork took me back to Amazon, where there are about 100+ similar sized mechanisms offered. Suffice it to say, I’m not a clock repairman and if it takes more than replacing batteries to make a new clock work I’ll opt for in person brick and mortar clock shopping where I can kick the tires and take it for a test drive before I hang it on the living room wall.Would have loved to give this clock a better rating but 2 of 2 had to be returned and although it is very pleasing to look at, at best it is a broken clock. Tempus Fugit! Don’t waste yours on this assault on a day well spent.

Purchased the 30” in gray and we couldn’t be happier. The clock arrived early which was a pleasant surprise. Also, it was packaged very well. The quality is excellent and it has a very nice weight to it. Fantastic aesthetics. My husband said I knocked it out of the park with this purchase! If you’re interested, hesitate no more!!!

For the most part, I like the clock, it's big, however there is one HUGE drawback the minute hand. It's way too long & it's dark so it's hard to make out the time.... They put another pair of clock hands in the box, however being they the clock is already dark, they should've put the lighter hands on for balance...at night, it's difficult to make out the time and ton switch out the hands is too much intricacies. I caught it on sale, but it was still a bit pricey for what I may have to do in switching out the hands....

After a long wait I finally received my clock and I am in love! It is nicer looking in person than I thought it would be and IMHO the quality leaves little room for complaint which, given what it costs ($319.99 plus $5.54 shipping as I type) is a good thing. I am not sure it’s current price tag is warranted, but the clock definitely makes a statement and doesn’t look at all “cheap” to me. It is made from real wood and metal and has a thin glass cover to make cleaning it fairly simple. The wood frame has a matte black finish that is dotted with bronze rivets and the gears are bronze too, I guess? Up close they appear sponge painted in a combination of silver and gold paint that gives an aged bronze-ish appearance. I absolutely love the clocks generous size and that it is totally silent- no annoying ticking sound! The vintage, industrial vibe is right up my alley too and a perfect complement to our homes decor. The clock came with an anchor and screw, so all you need is a drill and screwdriver to get it hung. It is fairly heavy so making sure it is secure on the wall is important- a nail isn’t gonna do it. It runs on one AA battery. Like I said, I just received mine but for the past 45 minutes it has kept perfect time; fingers crossed that continues.

Aber das Zahnrad-Laufwerk machte furchtbar quietschende Geräusche. Und sie hatte keine Glasabdeckung.Diese Uhr von Dorboker sieht viel wertiger aus. Die Glasfront ist praktisch (abstauben) und schick. Durch die beweglichen Zahnräder und die schöne Farbe ist sie ein absoluter Hingucker!Viele beschweren sich, es ist kein massives Holz: sicher kommt es auf den Preis an, den man bezahlt hat. Geht ja bis über 300,- €.Aber bei um die 150 - 190 € die auch möglich sind, glaubt doch heutzutage wohl keiner an massives, gebogenes Holz?!

I love the steampunk style of this huge metal and wood clock! The thick black wood frame looks great with the rustic bronze gears and gold stud accents. The one flaw I didn't notice right away was one stainless steel colored screw within the gear assembly whereas the other smaller screws are all bronze/copper coloured. I ended up using a black marker to camouflage the silver head of the screw so it's not as noticeable anymore.It’s 27 inches in diameter, so make sure it fits the wall space you intend to display it on, as it’s not your usual 11” wall clock. It’s a dominating decorative and functional piece to add to your décor. The gears move smoothly and there’s none of the annoying ticking sounds associated with cheap wall clocks, which I hate!Wall installation is simple as it has a typical keyhole hanger. Plan out where you want it to be and then use the provided screw and plastic wall anchor to hang it up, as the clock itself weighs ~12.5lbs. It runs off 3 AA batteries, 1 for the wall clock hands and the other 2 run the moving gears. It seems to keep time accurately so far, so it’s functional, and the craftsmanship is beautiful as well.
