I'll start out by saying that I was a bio minor with a lot of chemistry and bio lab exposure. If I weren't, I would avoid this like the plague. Most people don't understand how small a milligram is and without some special skills and equipment, trying to measure a 2 mg dose is futile. Do yourself a favor and dilute this to a concentration that's easier to dose. If you're wondering, "How do I do that?", this might not be for you. All of that being said, this is the cheapest way to go for pure melatonin. I do not doubt the stated purity here. Understand that melatonin is a powerful hormone and, as with all hormones, "more" is not "better", especially if you're using it only as a sleep aid.

This melatonin is definitely potent. Lights out all night for me. I take 1 gram. I was taking 80mg of a different brand but I would wake up sometimes and it would take me a hour to go back to sleep. I only wish they gave you more.

I was taking the "high dose" melatonin pills for a long time due to working shift work for 25+ years. They worked okay but when I grew the testicular heft to try something new I tried this....... AND IT WAS LIGHTS OUT! I bought a MG scale so I could accurately figure out the dosing and I've been using the 100mg 50K dose bag and I haven't even used half of it yet in 2+ months! I lost a lot of my taste and smell when i caught that big bad virus 2 years ago and never got it back so from what i can tell it doesnt taste bad at all, i use a small measuring spoon and take a certain amount (marked inside of measuring spoon) and put it on my tongue and swish with water the swallow! DO NOT BREATHE IN WHILE TAKING IT BECAUSE IT BURNS THE THROAT QUITE A BIT. Within an hour of taking it me and Mr Sandman are sitting on the river bank perch jerking, it's the best sleep I've gotten in YEARS! Shift work has jacked up my circadian rhythm and I can't get it back now that I aint working shift work anymore. If you ask me if this is something I'd recommend heck yes to anyone working shift work and need to get more than 4 hours sleep during the day get ya some of this it'll change your life! AND NO THERE ISNT ANYONE OR ANY COMPANY SUBSIDIZING THIS REVIEW I GET NOTHING FOR THIS REVIEW I WROTE IT FOR THOSE WHO NEED SLEEP AND CANT SEEM TO GET IT BECAUSE IVE SPENT TOO MANY DAYS & NIGHTS STARING AT THE CEILING FAN GOING ROUND AND ROUND AND ROUND! I rarely write reviews. I have determined that this product was contaminated. I have used three other brands of melatonin. And I have been using it based on the actual scientific benefits as described by prof Russel Reiter (world's foremost expert on the molecule) and the dosing schedule developed by Doris Loe. This has nothing to do with sleep. In fact high doses of melatonin may make it more difficult to sleep. So if you take a few milligrams, this review may not be pertinent. However if you take it for other reasons, and take what most would consider large doses it is. Every time I begin taking this brand I get very strange weeping sores on my chin. The amount of fluid that is expelled is quite amazing. This is a problem I have not had with the other brands I have used in the past. If I stop the sores go away, If I start, they come back. I did this a half dozen times to make sure this was the cause of the sores. It definitely was. My conclusion is that this brand, and at least the batch I got is contaminated. Of course most of this melatonin was worse than useless and a waste of money. I have ordered more form Bulk Supplements which has never had any negative effects.

Include a bigger less flimsy measuring spoon next time.

Works well for me. You might want a milligram scale to determine exact dosing. I contacted the company for clarification and they said the included spoon/scoop measures about 5-10mg.

I have used this one week but I have not been able sleep at night so far. I will continue to use it at least one month and see if it will work better.

This product will put you to sleep so fast you won't remember your last thoughts before falling off into slumber. I woke refreshed.
