Definitely worth the money!
I bought the 1TB version on sale for $69. The Buffalo name has been around for quite a few years, so I don’t consider them an off-brand, but when I saw this 1TB USB drive for such a low price, I was pretty skeptical and wondered if it wasn’t some knockoff company trying to sell their garbage as the Buffalo brand. I figured since this was still Amazon I’d give it a try since I could always return it if I felt I got scammed.I’m used to the nice metal casing and overall “heft” you get when you buy drives like the Corsair GTX so when this Buffalo arrived, I was nearly positive I got scammed because the plastic casing they use is quite cheesy and very lightweight. It almost feels like it’s going to break if you carry it around in your pocket. Nevertheless, I plugged it into my computer and it did indeed show up as 1TB.I’m aware that there are plenty of knockoff USB drives out there that use creative formatting and bogus firmware to trick your computer into thinking it’s a large drive, so the first thing I did was clean it off and create a brand new partition (which did format as 1TB). After that I started copying ~930GB worth of media. This is where I started to realize this was a legitimate drive because it sustained ~115MB/s of write speed (I was copying from the network and this is nearly it’s maximum throughput) throughout the entire copying process. Once it was done, I played each of the copied files and skipped throughout various portions to make sure the entire thing copied correctly. You know what? It did. Every single one was perfect so this drive is definitely the real deal. This drive isn’t $69 anymore, but it looks like it’s still on sale so if you want a fast/large drive you can carry around with you, then I would recommend giving this Buffalo a try. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the casing they use is pretty chintzy.

NOTHING ELSE IS WORTH YOUR MONEY!! AAA+++
You read these reviews like I did. So let me sum it up.THERE IS NO BETTER USB DRIVE THAN THIS!Every other one is too slow, or too big.One drawback is the port is ONLY USB 3. speed. The USB C is added with an adapter so its not TRUE "C" speed or control. But it does fit my MAC. And transfer speeds and cache are legit for USB 3.2TB drives can be had for much less. But they have NO SPEED. It will take the cheap ones DAYS to copy 2TB.You can clone an entire drive with this or make a working VM in a couple hours.I am buying more for back up and archive of drives. much cheaper and better than a pile of clunky large disks for stuff you may NEVER need again.Back up, clone, archive, and put it in a safe place. Brilliant. And for the price EXCEPTIONAL.This is the #1 BEST and I have sent back a half dozen others as JUNK.

Speed and Space? You found it.
2 TBs is legit. Bought 2. Filled them to the Max. Comes formatted with NTFS. Works on windows 10/11 right out of the box. If you want to use it on a Phone or Tablet (Samsung) you will want to reformat to ex-fat. Ex-Fat works on everything including Apple and I-Phone/Tab. 120 Mbps on 3.0 ports. 250 Mbps on 3.1 ports. 580 Mbps on 3.2 ports. These are transfer speeds gang. NICE! Construction is a little flimsy but it looks like it will hold up. I am impressed! Getter Done!

Awesome on the right port
I recently bought a gaming laptop with all the latest bells and whistles (intel 12th gen, 30 series GTX). It has 3 USB-C ports, 2 USB 3.2, and 1 Thunderbolt 4. Since this product has USB 3.2 in the title description I started using it with those ports. To my dismay, I was not getting the advertised speed on the first two USB 3.2 ports. I was only getting 250MB/s at most on a large 800GB file transfer. I was about to send this back when I thought to try it on the Thunderbolt 4 bolt. I ran a CrystalDiskMark test and boom, 600+MB/s. I also got it on my file transfers as well. I'm now a happy customer and recommend the product. It is very good value and performance for the money. Just beware the port!

Yet again an up and comer brand blew me away!
Let me start by saying that for the price I paid, I was whole heartedly expecting this thing to be horrible, but I was wrong.I am so glad I gave this seemingly no name brand a try, as this is better than 98% of the USB drives available by known brand names. I cringed when I plugged it into my computer not knowing what to expect, and once recognized, drivers installed and it opened a new window I was delighted to find it has a full usable 1.81TB of storage space (in one contiguous block). I then proceeded to back up all of my data between 9 of my computers, and the slowest data write speed was 26MBPS, however it was on an old laptop computer that was dying, and I was barley able to boot it into safe mode to recover data; on my hp elite desk mini, I plugged it into a USB 3.0 port and started downloading data, about 500 GB of data and it only took about 3 min to transfer, it peaked at .99GBPS but averaged 600MBPS. BLOWN AWAY! HIGH QUALITY! GO BUFFALO!If your reading this review and still questioning if you should buy this because of the brand name, let me give you some good advice, coming from the IT guy for a company. BUY IT YOU GOOF!In my opinion this is the best value for USB storage on amazon.

Excellent. Versatile and Good Value for Cost
Works well and as expected on Win 10 and 11 Dell Computers, about same speed as fast flash drives. Is slightly bigger than full size flash drive. LED light is good Would be better if drive came in a storage box.Is a USB-A drive with a USB-C extender, which is what I want. It does not break up files larger than DVD size, which non-SSD flash drives do. This drive works with my converter box which records over-the-air TV toit. For this reason alone, I think this drive is outstanding, because I have found that many flash drives haveproblems with these type of devices but this one does not. It sometimes needs an extra minute to boot up with the converter box but this is no big deal. I would buy this drive again if needed., but wish it came with a storage case of some type. Note that I am actually reviewing the 2 TB model.

Great piece of kit to have!
Only dislike is, it covers of another USB port making that port unusable unless you use some alternative connection. Apart from that I wouldn't be without it.

Got slower after 4 months of lower than average use
Started out great but it’s slowed down a lot in a small amount of time.. so I’m guessing the quality isn’t there. Storage is great though.. but the drive speed now is stupid

Datenübertragungsgeschwindigkeit an USB 3.1 hervorragend.

Great extra storage BUT ...
Does NOT WORK for Sony Playstation 5 disc edition. Says not compatible. I'm sure my son will find another use for it so my $200 doesn't go to waste.
