Excellent for standard windows, not for skylight
Bought x large size to do both my bedroom (standard window) and babys room (skylight) as she still co-sleeps in my room part of night. Blind was easy to cut. As mentioned blind is quite heavy to manoeuvre by yourself (I may just be weak) to keep it sticking up and get it tight to get the other side stuck. Ended up sticking some velcro in the wrong place but you do get quite a few pieces so should be OK. Doesn't look pretty on the outside (to neighbours) and is a bit of a faff to put it up and down twice a day. But blocks the light amazingly. Literally my room is pitch black when it is all smoothed out and sitting tight on the frame. The skylight window hasn't covered quite as well. The velcro pieces don't seem to stay stuck to the wooden frame of the skylight and they do fall down. Probably weren't made for skylights but was cheaper than a blind. Blocks out maybe 70-80% of light in baby room but will probably opt for the blind as it is difficult to open window etc with blackout blind in place. Velcro has come unstuck several times and had to be replaced as lost stickiness. However the velcro on standard pic window is holding fine and have been taking it up and down regularly for a month. Overall though I do love this product

Game changer - baby now sleeps after 5am!!
This was very easy to put up. I left a 2cm gap round the edges as instructed and it is perfect for blocking out the morning sun! I haven’t bothered cutting it down to size & it has stayed up, with no change for a couple of months now. Baby was waking at 5am with the sun, he now sleeps through to 6.30/7 depending on bedtime. It keeps his room cooler during the day & helps him sleep during his naps. We like it so much my husband wants to buy one for our room as he also struggles to get back to sleep once woken at 5am. The sleep you gain is well worth the cost. I highly recommend!

Good
I have difficult windows so I am not surprised that I have difficulty putting this up. I also have moisture issues that are beyond mere condensation as the tower block roof is leaking. Nothing sticks to the windows or frames, especially not sticky pads with velcro backing. The suction cups are not as easy to connect to the extra large as I thought it would be because of the weight of the sheet. I don't have a second person to help me either. My windows are bigger than the extra large sheet which I knew would be the case and planned to buy another one in a different size to make up that dofference when I ordered this size. That way I will be able to still open the balcony door. In the end I managed to peg the sheet up to the curtain rail on top of the closed curtains. This hasn't resulted in blackout effect but has reduced the light significantly. The room is slightly darker during the day than what it is at night time with a small 40w table lamp on. The low winter sun blazes through the window so that is very good. Keep in mind that a small section is not covered by the sheet as it isn't long enough. So once I buy the second one it will be even darker. I might go for this size again and just overlap them. The clothes pegs seem to work very well for me but I will admit that it means more light gets around them than it would if the sheet was closer to the window and the other side of the curtains. I will experiment some more but for me it works enough this way. I only need it to allow the projectore screen to be seen during the day in a room that gets the full force of the sun throughout most of the day. Why 4 stars not 5? Because this would be so much easier if it was fitted with holes or loops to simply hook over standard suction cups. After all it is advertised as never able to frey or rip and can be cut and be fine. I might actually find a hole punch and see if I can make said holes but I am hesitant because it that was doable then surely that is how the sheet would come?! Or it would come with a tool to create the hokes where you need it after cut to size. I might try and see if putting tape on the area I want to punch a hole in makes it easier and stronger than the sheet alone once hung. These are ideas that I have yet to try and may turn out terrible. I still recomment this item as not everyone has the environmental challenges I experience.

Really does cut out light
I bought this to try to stop waking so early in the summer mornings. I do not intend using it as a travel item so cut it roughly to the size of my bedroom window and spent ages working out where to put suction cups and corresponding velcro pads before realising that it just sits better (flatter) without the suction cups. As a result, I've ditched them and just used the small velcro strips around the window frame instead. They're discrete and small but still do the job well. It hasn't fallen down once and I've not used them all. Now it's a simple matter to take the blind down in the morning (if I want to) and put it back up again at night. I am not confident that it would work as well if not cut to size - it may be better than nothing, but the folds in fabric will allow some light in at the sides. I've just ordered a second identical pack to put on the front bedroom during the current hot weather. I plan to leave them both up during the day to keep the upstairs cooler while it's so hot. Only other thing to note is that it arrived with one or two tiny pinprick holes in the material, but they're of no consequence and don't affect its overall effect. After 3 weeks of use (up and down most days), I've seen no other holes appear. I'm pleased with this purchase and feel it was a good decision.

Great product that does what you expect it to do!
I found the blind was really easy to install - I chose to fix the blind to the window frame rather than using the suction cups, so I don't know how effective they are. You receive 14 adhesive attachments which stick to the window frame - they are quite small but come in a longer strip, so you might think you've not been sent enough but you need to cut them down to size. Despite being small, I've found that they are strong enough to keep the blind in place. I've had the blind up for five nights now and it doesn't let in any light. I've been detaching the bottom few Velcro tabs in the morning to let some light and air in, and despite de and re-attaching several times, everything has stayed in place. I would highly recommend this product.

Slight modification makes this super resilient in windy conditions!
I've had one of these blackout blinds for a few years now (cheaper than Velux blinds!) and it's great: easy to install, easy to put up/take down, 10/10 stuff. So I bought this larger set with the goal of cutting it in half, so 2 blinds for the price of 1 (you get 12 suction cups with it). Now, I have these installed on velux windows that are at 45 degrees - pretty much the worse angle for tension - and the windows are often open a bit - so lots of wind force hitting them. While the velcro works 90% of the time, when it gets a bit windy they do come down. Granted this issue is very *very* specific to me... but I fixed it by taking out the screw on the velcro suction pad, and just screwing the suction pad directly to the blind - circumventing the velcro. Now a hurricane can hit them and they don't budge! TL;DR: These are great. Cheap, easy to install, easy to use, properly blacks out a room in broad daylight.

SImple idea that works effectively.
Great idea although is literally just a black sheet with silver backing -it does however do exactly what it says on the label - I have not used the suckers as they seemed to fall off really easily and did so without anything attached to it, I used the self adhesive pads on the window frame, they held the sheet up all night and kept the light out perfectly. It is quite fiddly to put up and down each night and morning, but I would rather that than getting woken up as the sun comes up. All in all I would recommend this product for keeping the light out however if your looking for something stylish for your room then you could do better.

Bliss!! Now experiencing a sounder sleep from pre-dawn onwards :-)
For all who have read reviews claiming 'fish' smell - our product had no smell at all. And my sense of smell is good if you're wondering :-) For installation think about what you're doing! I placed the suckers on the window corners and then rectangular strips centrally on them with the adhesive protection removed. I then carefully positioned the material and offered it onto the exposed adhesive. Once the blind was fully in place I carefully removed the material by withdrawing each rectangular fastener from its fitted suction counterpart. With the blind fully removed I then firmly pressed all the rectangular pieces in place on the material. Preparation over, ready for use. I've now fitted and removed it for three nights and benefited from a deeper sleep from around 4.30 onwards!! Fitting and removing it is like making your bed, just another task to accept. After use, simply folded it up, generally following the existing creases. I leave the suckers in place on the window as I can see that regularly moving them would reduce their ability to stick. An excellent product with good instructions. It works.

It works.
I bought this for my son’s nursery. We had blackout curtains in his room, but they were ineffective and summer means sunsets and light coming through them until 10:00 pm or later and it just wasn’t working. This product is a little bit more expensive than similar options out there, but it seems to be worth it. The blackout fabric is great and the silver backing does work to deflect heat. My only complaint about the fabric is that it did come with some small pinholes along the creases. Because I hung it behind an existing pair of curtains, it’s not an issue for our house. It comes with two options for securing the fabric to your window frame: removable Velcro and suction cups. I’ve tried both, and they both work fairly well. The suction cups are nice, but placement is tricky and takes some practice. It’s a great solution for travel. The adhesive Velcro is nice for more “permanent” placement (and it’s what I will use at home) but because it is removable, the adhesion isn’t super-strong and I’m not sure how long it will last. Overall,
