Superb 9-10!
The game is a fine ending to the mainline games featuring on handheld consoles, I've been a fan for a long time and played through all of the games, and as much as I enjoyed Sun Ultra Sun blows it out of the water, the story line is better, there is a wider range of available Pokemon, and to top it off the speed of the game is much smoother, the first section is still a little "holding hands" style but after that it's great to play. I'd recommend this to old/new players alike. A solid 9/10 from me!My only gripes would be Festival Plaza, which is still a bit of a pointless gimmick in my opinion, and the Photo centre is also a bit pointless, but it's each to their own so I can't complain!

Old Formula, New Tricks.
I'm one of those guys who played Pokémon red and blue when I was just 8 years old. Went on to pick up Pokémon Y but was very underwhelmed by how similar the game was to the original games and didn't seem to have much innovation. But when I came to play Ultra Moon I was instantly very invested in the fresh new vibrant world and it's nicely paced storyline with its improved visuals. This game is definitely fresh compared to the games we've had previously so anyone who has played Pokémon and feels the game has got boring you may be pleasantly surprised here before the release of Pokémon Evee and Pikachu.I'm loving this game so far, it's a fun game with an old Formula but has a bunch of new mechanics that manages to keep the game fresh more so than Pokémon Y and X.This is the game we should have had years ago.

A worthy purchase, but only if you enjoyed Sun and Moon or haven't played them.
I enjoyed Ultra Moon more than I did Moon, and would definitely recommend USUM over SM to a person who has played neither. However, if you have played SM already, my recommendation to buy USUM is dependent on your initial opinion of SM. If you liked SM, go for it; USUM is a worthy follow up and better than its predecessor. However, if you weren't a fan of SM, I'd suggest sitting this one out; whilst the differences and additions in USUM are clear improvements, there aren't quite enough of them to make you like USUM if you didn't like SM.USUM is not an entirely new game. Those going into USUM hoping for a completely new and different game will be disappointed. Those who liked SM, and don't mind the same plot with a few welcome changes, will definitely enjoy this game.

After reading the good ones and the bad ones (and there very bad ...
Views and hype leading up to this game have been largely varied, equally the response when it was finally released. After reading the good ones and the bad ones (and there very bad ones from Japan..!) I can see both sides of the coin and why people have those views. But here's mine. Every main series Pokemon game has two different versions. Let's call one Sun and one Moon, for arguments sake. Sun was very, very different from any other main series games but it was very good and enjoyable to play. The problem is, even when you complete the Pokedex and exhaust the game for all it's content (and continue playing for shiny hunting, etc) you sometimes want to start the journey again to re-live the story, play it slightly differently, choose a different starter, play as a different gender etc. That's how I felt with Pokemon Sun - I wanted to start it again live a slightly different scenario. But I can't ever bring myself to wipe my save file and lose my shiny charm and all the other goodies that come along with post game content. So a year or so down the line Ultra Sun and Moon come out - I see this as an extended opportunity to play an already decent game again, but slightly different, with a new starter, added content, slightly differing storyline and a larger game / post game overall so I bought Ultra Moon, the counterpart to Sun. Thus I managed to play both versions, but the second one being a more complete adventure and definitive entry. At the time of writing this, I haven't yet completed the main game but the story is slightly different pretty much right from the start and there's always a feeling that the NPCs are almost nodding at situations and events that played out in Sun/Moon. Forth wall stuff. Which personally, I find to be quite exciting as it adds more of a sense of 'what's going to happen next?'.I can see how people are looking at the games saying 'they're the same, what a waste!' and yes, they are similar, but the hype never built it to be a completely new experience, just an unabridged version of a very good game in the series. And if you're like me, I'm treating it as an extra save slot to play the adventure differently than the first time around.

Exactly as ordered
As a pokemon fan that never played sun and moon because of the disappointing previous gen 6 games, when told i should play this cos they ramp the difficulty back up, i couldn't wait to get my hands on it.The package was just the game case, nothing unexpected here. Now, the game. As i mentioned, i have not played sun or moon before playing ultra moon. And i can honestly say this is now my favorite main series pokemon game. It beat out platinum, due to better pacing, and black and white/ black and white 2 with a better story. And they also took the lead on heart gold and soul silver, with a better availability to 'cooler' pokemon right from the get to up until the end, along with a better post game playability in my opinion. There was nothing wrong with this game from my play through of it and I can't wait to play more.

Heavy on dialogue! Slow and long winded.
Item was exactly as described, perfect new condition still sealed. This isn't against the seller at all, the game is okay. Theres alot of cut scenes and talking which is annoying when you just want to play the game. I imagine some people like this but it isn't what I enjoy as I have been playing pokemon games since the beginning and they have taken the new games in a different direction, so. This being said. If you're old school like me just be warned that its heavy with dialogue, slow to start and remains slow moving throughout due to this dialogue, it lags during double battles and the story isn't one of their best. Just my opinion though, I know alot of people who enjoyed this game.
