Cuts through like butter!
Took me a few minutes to cut out with the one of the tools in this kit. Loved how simple it was to get the cutouts done. The foam insulation board was about 4'x8' i tried cutting out the boards with a box cutter but that was a fail. The heating tools cut through like butter! Very happy with this kit!

Works as expected
This is the first time that I have ever used one of these. Great value for the money and the quality seem good. As expected, It makes a lot of toxic fumes when using, so be very careful and use it outdoors if possible or in a well ventilated area with a fan blowing the fumes away from you.

GREAT! Dont Over heat small rod!
I got to Say!! Game CHANGER!!! this this is GREAT!! i use the like a saw motion but also, a heads up!! the small Rod, do not put to high of heat or you will burn it out and it will not work anymore. I DID.. so i dont have the small rod. i guess user error. but other than that. works good. let it cut and dont force it.

Don't overuse or the element will melt the base.
Works great for short period of time. If you use any of the attachments for any length of time, they will start to melt and lose their grip of the heating element.Pros: Adjustable temp depending on the attachment. Quick and easy swap of attachments.Cons: Overheats at the base if used for any length of time causing the metal element to 'melt' out or dislodge from the attachment base.

Simply works
For a very cheap little knife it works great on 1 and 2 inch foam board. Also used to trim some plastic.

Failed foam cutter - Do not recommend
This product is poorly made. I bought it to cut foam for a gauges I was protecting and for carving out the excess foam. The device fell apart and melted where the metal joins the plastic. This was only after using it for 20 minutes and cutting foam less than 12 inches long, so not a lot of use. The foam I was using was not very dense either so the tool should have been able to cut through it. Ended up using a hacksaw blade and using some 3M glue to make it all work. Also don't breathe in the smells while cutting the foam. Overall try a blade or something else. I threw it away and didn't even want to deal with the return or refund.
