Nice read for binge reading
Set in the countryside, the book is a wonderful sneak peak into a rom com. It gets a little monotonous but it lovely to read for when you have idle time.

a steamy friends to lovers
i am usually not a friends to lovers person but elsie silver's writing makes this genre so much more endearing. jasper and sloane were extremely cute and steamy together. they had a natural chemistry between them and their banter was really good. elsie really knows how to write these kinds of small town romances and genuinely it was a pleasure to read this book <3

Not a particularly outstanding read -,but worth reading at least once.
3.5 starsI had high hopes for this particular book, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations and left me feeling disappointed. Among all the books in the series, this one ranks as my least favorite so far.Sloane is truly an incredible character. She is always there for Jasper no matter what the circumstance and she never expects anything in return. I loved how she knew him in and out and despite grappling with her own pain, she empathized with Jasper’s struggles without growing upset with him. Jasper, on the other hand, is a perfect blend of strength and vulnerability. His anguish and deep-seated mistrust are so palpable that it’s impossible not to empathize with him. However, it became quite frustrating to read that both characters had feelings for each other, yet neither had the courage to openly confess. More than halfway through the book, they continued to tiptoe around their emotions, which left me feeling irritated. Additionally, although the narrative repeatedly emphasized their status as best friends, I struggled to feel the depth of their connection. Something seemed to be missing when it came to their connection and it left me longing for a more meaningful portrayal of their relationship.Harvey, along with the entire Eaton family and Willa, was the sole source of entertainment in this entire book. Harvey’s character is truly remarkable, especially as a father figure. His witty remarks and jokes never fail to bring about a hearty laugh. I adore how he possesses an intimate understanding of each of his children and is always ready with a wise word whenever they need it. As for Willa, just the mention of her name brought an instant smile to my face, and her witty comments and jokes had me bursting with laughter. No doubt her story was the best book in the series! All in all, it wasn’t a particularly outstanding read, but it certainly holds enough value to be worth reading at least once.

Book conditions and review - 5⭐️
Jasper Gervais (apparently my crush doesn’t even exist in real ) is a hockey player with super rocky past but is literally so good to be true ; and hence i adore him so much that you guys have no clue.Sloane is a girl having the best character development I’ve ever seen . She had “I've been looking sad in all the nicest places,I see you around in all these empty faces Now I'm in a cab, I tell 'em Where your place is” kinda crush on Jasper.I was having a jungle of butterflies in my stomach whenever Jasper and sloane had their moments together.✨ "Yeah. I saw you, Sloane. I noticed you too.Didn't know what made me look up there that day.Had no clue what it all meant.""What did it mean?""That when it comes to you, I'm 𝙿𝙾𝚆𝙴𝚁𝙻𝙴𝚂𝚂. ✨
