SIMPLE AND RELIABLE
I have used one of these units for about 5 years., worked perfectly until I accidently drowned it. So I purchased another one. :)It records daily steps, calories. and total steps walked, also has an accurate clock too. It can be used with a belt clip; but amazingly , even just putting it in your pocket, it still works well recording steps. Only thing is, that it may not record the first few steps you make (in the house) for example. But once you start walking outside the unit catches up with the steps you took, and from then on is fairly accurate. Once you read the instructions , then its easy to set up; in fact the instruction booklet is nice and clear, with readable text. So many of these products have poor, small instructions, which are hard to read; Not the case here. Very easy to read. For me, this is probably the best pedometer I have found at its price point, and if you look after it, could last you a long time, just don't drop it in the water like I did. Highly recommended.

11 months of use and still excellent
I have been using the pedometer for the past 11 months and have found it to be excellent. I love walking and rambling, but prior to this had never owned a pedometer of any sort, so don't have pervious experiences to compare to. For the initial set-up, I didn't find the booklet useful - however, the video was clear and easy to follow and set-up didn't take very long. The most time-consuming part was setting my stride length, and even that didn't take long to do.The step count is accurate when the pedometer is in a pocket, clipped on, or in a bag. The strap was immediately discarded as it was swinging the pedometer every time I walked and gave very inaccurate readings.I really appreciate the old school vibe of the pedometer. It has a limited number of functions that work very well. If you are after something snazzy with lots of features, I would give this pedometer a miss. If you are simply interested in your step count, I would highly recommend. The only negative aspect for me is that sometimes steps are slow to be counted if I am moving from a stationary position and if there is a lot of stopping and starting, there will be a slight undercount of steps.Purchasing a pedometer has had an incredibly positive impact on me - regardless of brand I think everyone should invest in one!

Great step counter
After experiencing inaccuracies with previous pedometers, I decided to give this model a try, drawn by its promising features and positive reviews. It didn't disappoint. The accompanying support materials made setup and operation straightforward, with helpful videos for those who prefer visual guides over written instructions. The device feels sturdy, and its clip and holder work effectively. I also attached a lanyard to a safety clip as a precaution, though the clip's failure seems unlikely. Adjusting settings and navigating through the different readouts is simple.Like many, I initially underestimated my walking stride. For an accurate step length setup, I calculated my average stride by measuring ten paces, then dividing by ten. Yet, I tend to increase my pace and stride length after walking a short distance. To accurately gauge my stride, I used GPS and a tracking app to measure a known distance and compare it with the pedometer's reading. After adjusting for an accurate step length based on this comparison, the pedometer's accuracy improved remarkably, matching my GPS data within a margin of .02 miles on a subsequent test.I recommend those seeking to optimize their pedometer's accuracy to adjust their stride length estimate slightly upwards and measure a known distance to fine-tune the setting. While one might wonder why not solely use a GPS and app, my indoor walking at work, where GPS is ineffective, makes the pedometer an essential tool for tracking my movement.

Neat, Informative & A Keeper!
The least bad of my most recently bought 3 new ones. Once set up, it does a reasonable job of counting steps. If you want more info about accuracy, put one on your waist, walk 200 steps that YOU are counting, and see what the pedometer tells you you've walked. Will I keep it? Yes. Can I recommend it? Okay...yes! Good pedometers are no longer made, so this one will do. Also, I've had 2 others of these, before. I'm pleased enough!

Great accurate pedometre
Love this product , comes with clear instructions and personalised to your stride weight and height. Sturdy with clip facility or lanyard. Clear to read and much easier than having to rely on your phone for me as slips into pocket easily. Great reliable piece of kit which is a goodsze

A bit tricky to first set up but simple to use once you have
As long as you have all the info needed then setting up is not too difficult but you do have to be reasonably quick to do the input. Once done it is simple to use and great that it works independently

Seems accurate for steps
I had a much cheaper step counter that was wildly inaccurate and then stopped working. I just want to know steps, nothing else. This seems to be reasonably accurate. The set up was very easy and straightforward, some of the reviews seem to suggest it isn't, but I had no trouble with that. So for a simple step counter that has a few other things if you wanted that, such as miles walked etc it is good value and works well.
