Home Baristas with Limited Counter Space, Rejoice
The media could not be loaded. I’m so happy I took the risk on this knock box, despite the 3 star average reviews. It’s honestly very well designed, AND I LOVE THAT IT’S SMALL (see how it compares to our old one)! Still trying to figure out just how many pucks it holds, we tend to empty it after 10 but I don’t mind that, thanks to my newly found counter space. The opening *seems* narrow, but fits the 58mm portafilters perfectly! The knock bar is quite think so the grounds actually *do* go right into the bucket, no mess. The knock bar is also very strong, it feels a lot more dense/heavy than our old Breville one.

Cheap and small - DO NOT PURCHASE
The media could not be loaded. I literally just unpackaged this after receiving it a moment ago. The knock box has no weight to it, feels cheap and dinky. The lid wobbles and feels cheap as well. The biggest negative that I have is that the size does not accommodate a Portafilter, which is crazy because that’s the main purpose of this product.

Beautiful design…poorly executed.
Great design…poorly executed. On the positive side…this knock box looks great (from a distance)…and it works (functionally)..BUT..it is very cheaply made. The plastic base is very lightweight/flimsy..and the wood cover precariously balances on the top. I would have been happy to pay more…to get a higher quality/heftier product.

It's aesthetic, but has usability issues
I like the aesthetic of this knock box—it fits will with my espresso grinder and machine. The puck capacity is also nice. However, there is some usability issues. First, the metal cross bar often falls out of place and into the bin when knocking the portafilter. Second, the lid isn't easy to put back in place. I usually have to fuss with it a bit, which is just annoying for my workflow. Unfortunately, I can't say I would recommend it.

This is it
Perfect addition to my coffee station. Perfect size. Great sleek design. I love that this one has a lid unlike so many others I saw. I too am glad I got it despite the 3 star reviews. The lid is a bit tricky at 1st, but you have to smarter than plastic and/or wood, after that it's easy. Yes it's small, but after a week you should be dumping it anyway. I don't know why anyone would want something like this without a lid.

Nice Looking, Top Fits a little strange
Looks nice, easy to use, top fits a little weird. Not weird enough to say it’s a bad product, just seems the top should go on a bit smoother. Ned to wiggle it a bit.

Looks good and is easy to clean
The lid is actual wood, which was surprising.Good quality overall, and keeps the ugly discarded coffee pucks out of sight. You'll want to make sure you empty it and clean it frequently, as with the lid it will make it easier for mold to grow on the pucks if they start accumulating.

Looks good but that's it.
We bought this mostly for the appearance and a positive review on Serious Eats. However, the wood-looking cover needs to be removed every use; it would be much better if it were hinged. To get the cover back on the device, is a tricky process and the balance and fit with the opening need to be just right in order for the cover to fit back on. It's a pain to do this every single use. We're no longer using and getting a different knock box.
