A great design in theory, but will reality agree?
As with another review on here, I have a Speed and Strength SS1600 helmet. I originally purchased a side mount for my helmet, but with this helmet, there really is no good place to mount it. Found this one, and not going to lie, the price kind of made me a little hesitant at first. Also saw a couple of bad reviews on here that gave me pause, but decided the heck with it, it was the only one I saw that would work with my helmet. And it definitely works. Attached perfectly to the helmet, holding up good so far. Still fairly new, so how it does long term I can't answer yet. One thing with any mount, always check it before hitting the road. Common sense. If I have to reinforce it down the road, I'll update the review. As of now, no complaints.

Review for an Icon Airframw Pro
Mounts perfectly just underneath vent. It does block a bit of chin airflow with the camera in place, but I'll take that over the horrible aerodynamic properties of riding with a side mount or a teletubbie style top mount. The side wings are utilized approximately 85% and just the tips extend over the side vents on this particular model helmet. If you clean the helmets surface first with alcohol or simple green to get all oils off the surface it will stay in place just fine. I've used this particular camera mount with this particular helmet for 2+ years and have had 0 problems.I did have to buy a second mount recently which prompted this review due to having a large rock that got kicked up smacking the mount and shattering where the centerpiece joins to the wing. I feel that this speaks not only to the items durability but you should feel very secure with your camera sitting out front as mine never budged on that ride and held firm. Just make sure you're using quality 3M VHB Tape, clean the surface first, and you'll be good to go. Cheers.

Pretty decent
The mount is pretty cool I guess. My helmet is the hjc-CL-17 in size small and it fits pretty well to an extent. On the lower chin it probably makes close to 60% or 70% contact at best as the wings don’t turn out too much relative to the middle piece and as such the middle piece didn’t make contact with my helmet. I moved it up towards my chin vent and it works well there (a little gap can be seen at the middle tape of my picture, but the sides have flush contact) but I do have a gripe with the product.I think this could benefit from a vertical “wing” or 3m tape to further hold the weight of the camera/ arms. It seems unstable in some sense, even though I have gone upto 80mph shortly after applying it. I think my issue is how the vertical of the 3m and construct is probably like 1cm which imo isn’t awe inspiring. A 3rd vertical leg/ wing would totally assist with potential pivoting and also stability and probably should be considered by the manufacturer considering this is relatively overpriced at near $40

Great products! All of them!
I have 2 of the Shoei Neotec 2 helmets and it is a hard helmet to find a center mount for. Not much room on it. I tried the Chin Mount brand but it wouldn’t hold my camera where I wanted it. I used a couple of extra GoPro extenders and that made it too heavy. So I went with the MotoRadd chin mount. I did drill and tap two screws in these for extra security. These new cameras are expensive and like I said, it’s hard to find a mount that works on my helmets. I can now mount my cameras anyway I want to mount them. Still used the 3M tape as well. I also bought the Flex Slim mount and put it on the windscreen of my BMW R1250 GSA and it holds the Hero 11 Mini, the Hero 4 and 5 Sessions cameras perfectly. And I also bought the MotoRadd GoPro mic adapter holder too. These products have allowed me to make videos like a PRO! Love these products! Great value, great price!

Pile of crap, adhesive doesn't hold and the mounts break.
I bought two of these. At first I loved the first one, the lo action was what I had been wanting all along. The adhesive on the middle part (the part that actually holds the gopro started coming off of the part so it was stuck to my helmet and not the mount. The mount then popped out of the the other two pieces that hold it in place dropping my gopro into my lap. Luckily I was in a parking lot so I did not lose my $350 camera.I glued the middle piece into the side pieces to keep it in place. One of the side pieces then broke. This took about 4 months of use for it to break so I decided to gamble and purchase a second one hoping maybe it was just a defective unit. The second one had a side piece break where it holds the center piece within about a month of use.I do have a large windshield on my spot touring bike, so it was not cause by excess wind at high speeds.I didn't bother trying to get my money back at I figured it would be a huge hassle with how amazon is these days, also I threw them out in my anger.

its OK, falls off
The design is a good idea but it fell off the first time I used it. I applied new 3M tape and tried it again, then ended up taking it off because I was paranoid about losing my camera. when it works, its good and puts the camera in the right place. The product could use a version 2 thats tougher and has a wider contact patch for the 3M tape. the hinge joints are a weak spot and I think I broke mine when I demounted it last.
