Small but perfectly formed.

This is either a production error or poor design! You can only use the slicer and it is impossible to grate with the hand guard! What is the point of this product!!

This does exactly what I wanted it for - slicing garlic and small vegetables. I have a larger mandolin but use this for making meals for my mother. Quick to use, quick to rinse and easy to use.

I was disappointed to find that the guard only works with the slicer. There is no way it will work when grating

I really like this. Pros: well made, stainless, funky colour, and cuts really well. The handy little holder is not something I use often, and only works at the slicer end. The mini grater does gate 'finely', but is sharp and does a really good job. Cons: price. And tricky to clean without destroying a sponge. Small drawback is it's size; it's only ideal for small items (nutmeg, narrow blacks of cheese etc.). I'd gladly buy one 50% wider. (Length is less of an issue, but addition on this would help a little).

Good idea and design, unfortunately quality and materials are not great, slicer and grater both filmsy and not sharp enough to do the job. Better buy similar mini slicer/grater by OXO - it is superior to this garbage. For the best micro grater alone go for Microplane.

I dehydrate garlic for flakes and powder. I find it does best in even slices, but this task usually takes a decent amount of time. This tool helps you slice evenly and quickly with an added feature to keep fingers safe. The photo is two whole heads of garlic and it took about two minutes to complete. It is easy to clean after and is not too big, so easy to store. I imagine it would be nice for slicing other small vegetables such as radish or Brussels sprouts. Note that the guard only works on the slicing side, so if you plan to use this for grating or zesting, you will not have that safety feature. Overall, I am happy with the purchase for my purpose.
