So far ok ... You need to screw on the handle yourself. I had to wait until my husband gets home from work so I could borrow his tools to fasten and screw and tighten in the screws. Imagine you're someone without the tools to put the handle on. I was actually surprised it wasn't pre-screwed. Ensure you tighten it a bit more than hand tight ... It would be horrible if it comes loose if you didnt tighten it enough. Besides all that, it does fit several of my pans and pots that didn't come with a lid. Very useful, and I like the way it ladder and it does prevent it from sliding off the pot or pan, which I love, as I had broken a lid before that didn't sit on the pot properly and slid off.
