Sea Spaghetti, 1.75 oz - Brittany Salt

How is this not more we’ll known?!
I have been a raw vegan for a couple of weeks now and I’ve been desperate for a good pasta replacement. Zucchini noodles are good but they don’t quite cut it. This sea spaghetti, however, is AWESOME! I just soaked it in water for 4 hours and strained it, threw some raw herbs, spices and tomatoes on them and BAM it was sooo good! Didn’t even need to salt them because they’re naturally salty. I’d say they taste comparable to spinach noodles, but richer in flavor. They are also very similar to actual pasta in consistency. It scratched my pasta itch just right. I researched them and it turns out this seaweed grows in spaghetti like strands already, so they don’t even have to slice it that way, it’s as natural as spaghetti can get! I just ordered 3 more 3.5 oz packs of this deliciousness. I highly recommend to anyone, especially raw vegans because there just isn’t anything else like this for us out there.

Excellent product
For healthy eating this product is the real thing - nothing like the other processed seaweed noodle products. Excellent for you and a nice noodle texture when prepared according to the directions (the leftovers had a little crunch to them after refrigeration - just a nice reminder of the healthy food you are actually eating). As someone whose health restrictions don't allow for carbohydrates, this is a lovely way for me to have pasta. There was the slightest fish odor during preparation (only because I checked for it - otherwise I hadn't noticed it), but I used the noodles in shrimp scampi, which has garlic, and got no fish odor or taste in the finished meal. As a former raw foodist, I would have been very happy that this is a raw food. Since the instructions call for simmering, perhaps preparing it in a dehydrater while soaking in water would give a similar texture.

Love it.
This is a great product. I usually just eat it raw tossed on top of a mixed green salad. You can soak it for a few minutes in hot water or cook it too. But, I like the slightly crunchy texture it adds to a salad. This a great way to get your iodine and other minerals especially when not using regular iodized salt.

My 4 year old daughter snacks on it.
If you ask my four year old daughter, she'll tell you she loves it. She snacks on it straight from the bag. It makes me happy because she's getting minerals from it which are good for her teeth and bones. We've been buying this for years. I've cooked it and it was ok. If you love seaweed then you'll like this. If you don't like seaweed, then you should look for a milder option like kelp perhaps.

Healthy and delicious
Used this in a shaved asian salad. Would recommend only soaking the "spaghetti" - not cooking it as it got very soft after soaking it for 30 minutes. Used it to make a really delicious seaweed, ginger and carrot salad from Ottolenghi - [...]

I ate it up very quickly. Very tasty when it is mixed with spaghetti. Don't soak it in water too long. Soak it just a coupe of minutes before dropping it into boiling water.
